It is pretty bright, just because my light is really bright and I have a big window!
The skirting, well, theres no point. I'd have to buy a huge paint tub and I have things covering the back wall now (couch and another desk)

Ah I see - wouldn't want the light (love natural light!) - but then that is solved with a large window.

Fair play on the skirting board, if it is covered it wouldn't bother me :L
