Personally I like the rule as I would prefer the trading sections to contain ONLY trading posts.

I think he's referring to a post which I edited.. I did so because IMO his post was too general.. How was anyone to know that he was actually interested in the item? For all I (or the several people who reported the post if I remember correctly) knew he was just asking for a value in general..

If people are a showing genuine (and obvious) desire to buy the item then its fine and I wouldn't edit it. If phil had said "yeah I'm interested in the bronze pillow, how much?" then then its clear that he wants the trade.

If you can just say "anyone know the value of.." then I could just go in a random thread now and post that even though I don't play habbo anymore

The way i saw it was you were asking for the price of the bronze pillow but in a different way than going 'Hey. How much for this bronze pillow' so not sure why that happened

Why would I be interested in knowing the value if I did not wish to buy it?

A lot of people just ask out of curiosity, I agree with the edited post as it was as easy just to post another thread.

Well I saw that you said you got edited for asking about a price or something? Well thats definitely too strict. It will be discussed with moderators and then I'll come back here and post the outcome of the discussion to see if everyone here agrees too.

That's why I edited it- your post didn't indicate an interest in buying the item @MyOffDays;. I'm not saying that you didn't mean it to but that's why I edited it (and that's presumably why a few people reported it to).

I wouldn't .

As I've said before, it would be good if there was a like system that worked with the current reputation. Like could just give/take 1 reputation point - meaning rep power does not affect it (or a % of rep power with a minimum of 1). I wouldn't like the current reputation to just suddenly be deleted . But then you could give reputation through user profiles - like MyBB, basically.

We definitely can't remove the reputation time limit. Otherwise all hell will break lose

for post count probably.
people have spammed the forum to raise their post count in the past and still do today. If the rules were relaxed then it would surely just get worse?
