Default UKIP Head Embarrassed in Bulgaria

    Bulgarian's tell Farage...

We want to come to the UK? We want to invade Western Europe? We want to claim of the UK? No, that's right. They want to stay at their home. In Bulgaria.

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------

Bulgarian MEP says if they want to go somewhere, they will go to Spain or Italy - the climate is closer to what they are used to. Do they want to invade Britain? NO.

Roma Gypsy's response to Farage saying they could come to London and have a free house, heating etc? That's right! They said there is lots of rain in London. "Every stone has its rest" - they were born there and they want to stay there. Do they want to move to Britain? NO.

Gypsy leader says they don't want to move too - Farage seems gutted and speechless at this response. Do they want to move? NO.

Farage then goes and asks a whole room of graduates if they are looking to pack their bags and exploit Britain - and they all said NO.

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------

Farage really is made to look ridiculous, and somehow still insists the Bulgarians are going to come here. Despite that Bulgarians have stuck by their national pride. Good to see him speechless for once.

The view of a few do not represent the view of the many. They said the Polish and Romanians wouldn't come to the UK. Did they? Absolutely definitely not.

Delightful, just logged on actually to post about this.

Now, the BBC have been (over the past few days) claiming that Eastern Europeans in Romania and Bulgaria have no intention of moving to the United Kingdom when the borders are opened in January 2014 - and that only a small percentage so far have signalled their intention (according to the BBC poll) to move over here. What the BBC don't say however is this...

For some reason the Beeb haven’t mentioned how that translates into actual real numbers. 4.2% of 4.67 million working age Bulgarians equals 196,140, and 1% of 15.3 million working age Romanians equates to 153,000, making a pretty daunting total of 349,140. Not that you’d hear that number from the BBC themselves…
That graph above is done via the Beeb's own numbers - and its frightening. Of course less could come (very unlikely) or more could come when you take into account that polls regarding where people are going to move are unreliable, ie a poll for the Mail found nearly 50% of Britons were 'considering' moving abroad... but of course 50% of us aren't going to leave realistically are we?

UKIP are highlighting the madness of this policy of opening the borders - when Poland and other Eastern European countries joined the EU in the early 2000s, the Labour government at the time predicted only tens of thousands... and HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS came. Is it any wonder why the present government is refusing to release the figures on how many they expect to come? Could UKIP maybe be on to something?

Nice try though, same goes for the BBC. But I wonder who looks ridiculous now without doing their homework?

To anybody reading this - if you have an ounce of common sense and realise that hundreds of thousands of people cannot simply be allowed to enter this country without any checks and in such large numbers where our free healthcare, schools and welfare come under immense strain... then you only have one sane option, and thats to vote UKIP. The rest of the world are allowed to control who enters their country and who doesn't - we deserve that same right aswell. It's not about disliking foreigners or anything - it's just about some common sense.

Not sure why you think it is "very unlikely" less would come. Using your own example of Britons, that would suggest that more SAY they will do something, than actually will - meaning less will come than the BBC suggest?

Also, do you happen to hold statistics for OTHER EU states (ie. Spain and Italy), and their predictions on the numbers going there? I mean, certainly from the Farage headed C4 video, the majority would rather go to the PIGS than Britain.

Once again, on the basis Eastern European Immigrants have paid more into the system than they have taken out, I cannot see the issue with our so called "free" healthcare - I mean you bang on enough yourself about how it ISN'T really free - you either need to stick to the idea that it is free or it isn't - not change your mind depending on the debate. UKIP will be gone just as fast as it has risen - people turn to extreme parties like Europe in times of austerity, meaning they will - thankfully - soon die out.

Speechless cos it was the most bizarre question ever haha.

I don't really trust polls that much. It depends on what question they asked. If they asked Bulgarians, 'do you want to move to the UK', simply asking the question might put the idea into someone's head that they'd like to, doesn't necessarily mean that they will. Despite that, people will go to considerable lengths to escape poverty and I do not think we should be complacent about the numbers that could potentially arrive. Our Border Agency is a bit of a laughing stock with a huge backlog and it needs to be given the resources it needs to prepare itself as best as any system can for the worst case scenario.

Even when he asks them whether they want a "free house, free this, free that"? Don't see why they wouldn't be honest with him - hardly going to put them in any danger.
