I think any thread which doesn't promote active discussion should be moved to spam. Very simple AND ITS ALREADY A RULE.

I feel like I'm talking to a brick wall, everything I've said in this thread and the Eurovision winners thread, you've come up with a response like this. Less than 10 minutes ago you said, and I quote:make some interesting ones and i wont have to spamFirstly, you said you're scared of Spam. Secondly, go make some threads yourself then. Although tbh, there are a lot of good threads atm where you can go and post, just go look in a few forums and you'll find one.
So what's active discussion? How many people need to be discussing it before it's active? How far do they have to discuss it for it to be considered a worthwhile discussion?
In fairness though does anyone really give a **** about what colour tiles someone has on their roof lol

so is the fun of the spam intense to be on the forum in the threads like the spam not in the spam? or wut?I feel like I'm talking to a brick wall, everything I've said in this thread and the Eurovision winners thread, you've come up with a response like this. i used to put the names of my favourite singers here... then i realised nobody cared
It's difficult to tell, but let's not kid ourselves that Post a Random Image promotes active discussion, in fact the thread rules actively DISCOURAGE active discussion. Same with Coco pops and the first letter of the name thread. Of course it's a fuzzy line and that is why traditionally there was in fact a rule requiring permission to create any 'Post Your' thread and it was very effective on cutting down on threads which don't promote active discussion. As Mr-Trainor has said, use of common sense, if someone has created a thread right along the same vein as another recent thread and it's not even a remotely interesting topic (e.g. "what documents do you have open in np++ or <insert ide/text editor here>" or "Post your keyboard.") then it's obviously not going to promote discussion.
In reality I have no issue with the rule, but under the pretence of not enforcing quality that flies in the face of common sense.

Forgot about that one LOL. Although that's much better than the coco pops thread.
Huh?
