ltd values

It was rather frustrating that i came up with so many good and innovative ideas and they never got put into plan, but i suppose thats what you get when we do this for free.... I thought up ideas like having our own free Habbox Marketplace for people to sell their rares on the site.... that never happened And i kknow there were loads of tiny little ones which allowed more interaction for the users.

And Luke i think you summed it up well there, it's all about common sense, you don;t need to add values for each trophy inscription as that would just be silly. But for these LTD rares, each different number of these rares is basically a different item in it's own right and therefore it needs some kind of value.

Think maybe we need to spend less time procrastinating and more time doing. Have a mess around with the panel and try get a few values on in the next few days and see what the response is. Maybe open a thread in the rrading sections for people to post screenshots of trades they have done of their LTD rares. (be aware of faking though) and then use your common sense to come up with a value.

Yeah, and I still have your PM about the whole market idea, like the stock exchange thing. Shame nothing like that was ever done. We only recently got the apostrophe bug fixed, which was thanks to @Chippiewill; though . I don't think David comes on anymore. As for LTDs, I've resigned from Habbox RV now but I'll play around with different ways on my own site tomorrow and then post here .

No, not 1000. I think this was the reason why coding requests were needed, to have 1000 copies of an item with different values. There is absolutely no need for 1000 different values when the majority of them will be considered to be the same item. For example, would you pay more for #371 or #653? Probably not. They can be grouped together just fine and it'd be far more efficient .

Just what luke said. The very vast majority of the LTD rares will have a very similar/same value so you just need to give a rough estimate on what you would expect to sell a rare number 1000 to 100. Then maybe another value for all the ones numbered 99-50 and so on.

Basically as a RV department you need to sit down and work out the ranges of the numbers, when it gets to a certain number when someone is more likely to pay more for it.

In the ranges of say 1000-100 you should put something in the description of the rare value that says something like "Please note that these LTDs have been grouped into one value as their LTD number gives them a similar value, but there maybe some small variation in value from higher to lower numbers"

Just to add to Dans post above, just choose a range and trial it. You can always change the ranges for certain items if it becomes clear that the current ranges aren't working out quite right .

I've no idea what's happening, I have no problem with attempting to value them on the site, but again I still don't know how to sort them; there are also questions on whether to just have them in one category, but then the ranges are questioned.

I believe @Mr-Trainor; was going to test something, I could be wrong, I haven't forgotten about it don't worry, I haven't had as much time this week due to my other departments requiring more time in some cases as well and personal reasons.

It might just be uploading images with a number on or having the number in the name then working more closely to the trades, for example, I currently know values of the Limited Edition Rares such as the Pink Dragon, Holo Nelly, whereas others might be better at others.

It definitely hasn't been forgotten about though - if you ever want to know something, just PM/VM/quote or mention me just so I'll definitely read it.

Fast progress? It's not just Rare Values that needs that, and motivation isn't going to be there when those who are meant to be doing this so called fast progress aren't doing it. People have said things yes, but nothing is set in stone, if someone wants to give an actual full explanation then I'll listen, but there is a difference between putting something into action than just saying it. I won't shoot ideas down, but at the moment is there any point? After V7 comes it'll be like we wasted a lot of time, in reality I'd actually like the coding requests from 2010 doing before I even attempt to work on Limited Edition Rares.

Sorry if it seems like I'm flaming you or anything as I'm glad you're giving feedback, but it isn't a fast progress for things like this, not in Rare Values anyway as I said - I'm waiting for coding requests from 2010 which won't be implemented until v7 due to lazy ex staff. I'll see what I can do, but I don't know which numbers sell for what or the ranges to do; plus I think it'd look very messy if we had different ranges, I've already sent too many graphics request to the team and by the looks of it I'd need them more for the Limited Edition Rares.

Meh, don't do it. It's not going to bother me in the slightest, i'm just pointing out a huge niche in the market which could possibly make Habbox Rare Values relevant again, because you can fight all you want saying people still use them when the fact of the matter is, they don't. I don't care what your poll says lol. Even you, the manager don't use the values on the site, anytime i see you mentioning something price related it's always to do with the marketplace price.

Yes fast progress, i know it's a word that has no meaning on Habbox (official rooms for example, i'm pretty sure Mike is bringing them back since December, yet something so simple still hasn't come). I just don't see how you can't value even 10 LTD's, it wouldn't take more than a few days? Is it adding them to the site that's the problem, are you unable to add new pictures because no once has anyone mentioned that problem in this thread.

The plan for what could be done has been laid out as clear as possible, i don't know how easier i can make it for you?

Make a new category called "LTDS", and then maybe have an image of each one inside that category which people can click on and it will bring them into another page where the items will be grouped. For example, they click on the Easter Dino Egg.

#1 - Price
#2 - Price
#3-20 - Price
#20-50 Price
# 50-380 Price

Maybe even less than that once you find the value of things and realise they may all be around the same price. I don't even know why i bothered typing this out because giving feedback on anything non-forum related in regards to Habbox is like talking to brick wall. I'm not talking about rares but all community departments, its like you move as a snails pace while every other fansite is zooming ahead in terms on innovation and ideas lol.
