I don't know why you bother keep making these threads Richie, nothing ever improves. The only good thing recently is the fact there are at least a few weekly shows

Where did "the vault" go cause that was a brilliant event hosted by HxL, last time someone asked they kept getting the same reason "it's coming back soon".

We stream at 128kb/s stereo. Why mono?

As for the idea, I am not sure that sulake will allow this as it was mentioned and I don`t think every djs would want to be viewed on cam or whatever it is. I do like the idea but the people who will enforce this is senior management and management. Now the question is, will this be beneficial for the radio team? I don`t really see how this can improve the radio but we can always give it a go.

I know some may think Calum is not giving a good attitude towards habboxlive on his post but that`s his opinion. He is not being negative just over looking what the team has become over the few months. Yes the radio popularity is not like before and I do agree in that part but judging every single DJ that we currently have is not very nice. This is not a professional radio and we do not have professional DJs but they do succeed in what they want to do (well those who try to succeed and works hard for their current job). I think you cannot judge a DJ if you haven`t even tuned in. You need to give these djs a chance and maybe give them useful tips but not in a rude way but in a constructive way.

We do our best to give what listeners wants and you can`t expect us to be perfect. Now I do hope that this month or so will be better but we have to understand that some has exams and cant be on air till the 10th of june (latest).

What I can tell you I am proud of the djs we have here well those who are working hard and dj often ofcourse and I do not regret having them on the Hxl team. If you have any ideas or tips then do give your tips and the radio management and senior management then they can over look the ideas and tips given.

Be careful what you wish for!

I wasn't here the last time the vault was hosted so I have no idea how it was run or in what way it was run. The radio still runs at 128 but I myself do agree that some DJs need sorting out in regards to quality and a lot of them have received multiple PMs and warnings in regards to this.

I doubt people would want to appear on webcam and even if they did i don't know how Habbo would react if they knew we did do something like that? I know the HxL website is incredibly old but I can't code a whole new site and it is obvious that they feel that v7 will come and we will be merged with that so they don't really see the point in improving HabboxLive as much as I wish it could. Weekly Shows are making a serious come back at the moment and we are deciding on names, times etc. at the moment so that we don't have say... five in one day.

HFFM and TH don't fix their listeners that much, they just show their non-unique listeners which lets be honest is only a few numbers off here and there. We have created a giveaway account which Senior+ are encouraged to use but after a problem we had with ex-HxL staff myself and Mark are a bit wary of letting them on the account.

I think when Mark comes back from being away we need to have a serious sit down and talk about each individual member of staff but at the moment I am finalising dates for events we have coming next month as well as hoping to sort out something with the events staff whenever they feel is right for them as well. It's just one of them things that at the moment a lot of DJs have resigned due to the work/college/school commitments and it is incredibly difficult. I just hope providing we keep pushing it will improve again.

with regards to individual dj quality maybe stop being such mugs when picking trialists, if someone has a low quality mic/not that great sample clip they send in or whatever just don't give them a trial? don't understand how certain people receive trials when they or their mic are rubbish

The Vault is brilliant. The way Adzeh did it back in 2006, was it was basically you needed to guess a code to crack the vault and sometimes it would be done throughout the week and culminates in a final show or it's done on the show itself.

I shouldn't have mentioned the webcam, that was just a suggestion. Everyone seems to think that's the core of this idea, there's still a lot you can do without a webcam, the suggestions I gave were just additional features that the radio could have if they wanted it.

@Foregetfuhl; You can definitelly tell the difference between this dj (Jack) and the last one (Dave), this sounds much better & they both have the same bitrate. So I'm not sure if some are using mono / others aren't or others are taking advantage of the eq settings in sam 4 & others aren't, its one or the other. Also the radio lags bad during changeovers, I'd delay the radio or ask presenters to be more alert when switching over. I know they aren't professional presenters but jeez a simple changeover isn't difficult, it's literally start and stop. I remember people would get warned if they did bad changeovers, is that rule still around? Just an example, 26 listeners to 4 because of a poor changeover. In the radios defence habbo / habbox has gone downhill all together but still, small things like poor changeovers do make a difference, well for me anyway.

Just tuned in quickly to hffm after reading this thread and have to say the current DJ on now, its jolly, lively, not hesitant, plays good music and the bits between songs like advertising the radio are professional and there isn't a big gap between songs when she talks, although it's nice when she talks as it's not rubbish.

If I am honest, I don't really tune into Habbox, I think sometimes its the music, but I haven't listened to every DJ to make a fair comment... I think the big thing for Habbox back in the day was when 'popular' Habbo's were DJs such as Mizki, but difficult to get that now. This could be worth a shot as a weekly thing.

Its all depends on certain factors, the DJ being primary the software quality etc. As good as that idea is, I think Sulake will have something to say about it. If not then the Habbox haters will use it as an excuse to report habbox to Sulake! Streams are actually quite cool, and I would probably watch them if there was an interesting DJ on.

Streams are strangly entertaining, but I only watch Youtuber streams.

If Habboxlive started having spam giveaways that would be the dog crap on the tombstone. The only reason I listen to Habbox over the other big fansites is because some of the DJ's are on the radio because they arent always licking behinds

My name is Jazz hi, it was me, logan, kristina and emma till everyone got fired or resigned etc.
I would like to see the vault back, but not as wired up as @ilogan made it (I spent one day stacking over 300 wired furni's, because logan didnt want his weave getting dislodged). I was talking to jade a couple of days ago about another event similar to the vault where we could incorporate the vault into a 7 seven 'gameshow' but I never got to explain it through because of yet another hxl argument.

Its sad to see that HabboxLive is dropping slightly off the radar, a lot of the other fansites are doing these very good radio events and have a good on-client event basis to go with it. I've gotta say, that I have lost some respect for the department since I left its opened my eyes and everytime I make any kind of suggestion or comment about the department I get the little lap dogs yapping and biting my ankles.
