New HxHD layout

Last spring/summer layouts of last few years have all had grass patches and forest walls (As did most of the other designs people posted for this years) and there were no big complaints. Even when diff walls are used people moan. eg. jungle walls for last years summer one cameron complained they looked like they should be in a halloween layout.

As I suspected, the reason for 'no big complaints' is clearly the fact that there's more emphasis on the summery aspects, i.e. the sand and water and then only one section with grass patches. Now imagine if all that sand and some of the water was replaced with grass patches.. it'd look horrible.



I will say that this layout is still not amazing, but I do like it and its much more summery than the one we have at the moment.

@ few posts up^^ I did have some more old layouts on a certain site (before it was cleared :rolleyes and on my laptop, but I deleted the folder a long time ago. But yeah, some of the older ones would definitely look nicer (if slightly adjusted) than the one we have currently.

I don't get it. I swear there was a thread of people saying that they like this old layout and to use it, just two weeks ago. Now loads of people join the 'it sucks' bandwagon and demand something else.

Sometimes I feel that Habbox is full of divas that demand 8 figure paychecks .

Personally, I would go to DJ-3000's old layout, but I don't see that happening!

It's alright, after all, it's just a room on Habbo where people chat and not a work of Modernist art.

@Red; look. I think part of the problem is that Habbox is actually a community and the HxHD layout isn't only about designing nice-looking rooms, but getting the whole community involved. Basically what's happened this time is the community has been told that their ideas weren't good enough (some would even go as far to say "vile") and are, therefore, going to be ignored.

This would have been ok if they came up with a super fabulous summery layout with cherries on top and free gifts for everyone who entered, but they've just given us a mediocre design with a couple of deck chair dotted round on bits of grass.

And then they wonder why everyone rages :S

I actually believe you saying they're mediocre is better than someone saying that they're just vile with no CC. The layouts submitted this time aren't vile they just needed work.

Also those going on about
@cameron;'s design, you couldn't make it less subtle if you tried, but remember his design was a Christmas one and it would suit the theme.

I doubt if people didn't like Kirst, Kyle, Jake or Graham's design and just said it was rubbish you'd want to know why and you wouldn't like the comments either surely?

I think you might be trying to make this a positive thing but, in all honesty, I don't see how. Are you trying to justify this layout by saying that, as it's not the worst one we've ever had, it's acceptable? Really?

We could also say why are you trying to turn this into a bad thing? The layout has changed just like everyone requested.

I can safely say I still have all these images, they're not missing.
