Another thing I don't get, why do people say they only want a gaming system for gaming?

First of all, I'm pretty sure the PS4 is offering more than just pure gaming.

Secondly, who says they only want something for just one thing.

I just don't get why people don't like new techonology? If you don't like certain parts, just don't use it

The point is, when something is being revealed you should be talking about its main primary feature. Its meant to be a Games console. so talk about the the games, the new features for gamers. Like Sony did. This is what Microsoft did

I don't think you can cover it as it detects how many people are playing (iirc).

Wouldn't that only be needed if you were playing a game with more than one person? Example: Spilt screen. Apparently you can turn it off anyway.

I can totally understand why it being mandatory can turn people off, other than the price though, I think that's the only bad thing about the XB1...

Can't really compare phone and xbox. adding stuff like the camera and clock, calculator and text messaging is all good. A box that lets you watch tv on it via another box isn't.

- Cross Chat
- Download games via your phone
- remote play if you have a vita
- save clips of gameplay
- stream a playthrough
- Making people sign up for Ps+ for online which itself is a fantastic deal
- Play download games as they download
- system will take note of what you like and download games for you so if you decide to buy the game the download and install will be alot quicker
etc etc etc

All features being added that are beneficial to a Games Console.

Wait, so everything that the XB1 brings new is absolutely crap, and everything the PS4 brings isn't?

And, you're saying something that lets you watch TV via another box is crap.

So surely Xbox/PlayStation should get rid of their DVD/Blu-Ray functionality right, since we have players for that?

And phones should get rid of calculators and clocks, because we have those already, right?

It's because I don't want it, nothing to do with privacy issues. If I had a problem with privacy I wouldn't use the internet where all of my information is available freely to everybody. I don't want it because the original Kinect was a terrible, overpriced gimmick that added nothing to the gaming experience (for me, anyway) and Kinect 2 will be no different. "oh but it's new and improved" yeah that's what they tell you because at the end of the day they're not going to undersell ****?
