Grand Theft Auto V Megathread

Played it for about an hour before football. Very fun, first mission was indeed fantastic fun - and I am genuinely impressed by the tennis and golf features - fun to play, which is important bearing in mind you need to play them if you want to gain strength.

Switching characters is great imo, and does not take long to do. Wish accelerate was x when driving, not R2 though (does not appear to be a configuration to change this). Yet to go to a strip club, maybe not as desperate at others? (Anyone who bites now is hilarious).

Driving feels good - better than GTA IV, love the convertible feature - although I think it is easier to die whilst driving, making me sort of wish you could optionally put s seatbelt on (slightly slowing down the time it takes to get out of the car maybe) - as I've already ended up going through the windscreen twice, killing me straight away).

Much to my surprise, I actually really like the new way to switch weapons, which gives me hope for Watchdog, which I seem to remember uses a similar system. Like how time goes into slow motion when considering swapping characters etc, useful way to go about things.

Just my first impressions, enjoyed the game so far! Hoping the missions are not too "samey, something Oleh might be able to confirm to me...

My game won't load past the first mission He runs off into the snow, then there is a grave with invisible people then it just goes to a black screen and says it's loading.. or saving?!

I assume you didn't turn off your console during a load of save moment?

Definitely an isolated incident.

I lost connection to Xbox Live and then GTA was loading story mode and then took me back to that mission where you rob like a bank again. The hell

I thought it wasn't always online and autosaves?! Cannot be dealing with that, since my PS3 tends to lose connection.. :L

I did try searching to see if anyone else had the problem but couldn't find anything. Might have just been a hiccup - I now do a manual quick save every so often just to make sure.

Anyway,

Had one of those events where you can help out in. This females purse got robbed, got it back and gave it her. Then realised I didn't get anything out it so I let her walk away... Ran her over and then got some money.
