IMO This poll is dumb, the bus never is on time and it wouldn't leave if you were 10 seconds away. Also if it's for your school I'm pretty sure there would be other people waiting and it takes more than 10 seconds to get people a ticket.

one of the bus drivers for my route to school is a sadistic git and if i am slightly late he likes to pretend he's driving off so i hurry, then he stops

nowadays i just continue walking at my normal pace and he stops regardless

Wouldn't the answer be 8:14? If the time is 8:14 and 10 seconds, then you're still within the fourteenth minute and therefore the bus would still be at the bus stop.
