i thought Alanis morissette did a cover, or was that Meredith brook? Gah you need to watch it, it's brilliant. I am speechless to what they've done to both Alison's and cosima's story lines!!! I'm not too how they did the clones, I may have not heard it. (which is why I'm going to watch it again on BBC Three!!) I honestly think Kira and (oi oi) Mrs S will be (more) needed and valuable in season 2!!

when alison and her neighbour was in the kitchen and her scarf was caught. some one added the music "push the button to let me go" I can't actually stop laughing. but on topic i still can't believe she let her die + what donny did at the end didn't really shock me for some reason. I think that was because when he was burning something and on the phone... but big boob blowies was a gd cover for a man

omg thats horrible haha. Her letting her die was really shocking. Donny didn't surprise me either and I'm wondering how Alison is so stupid... She should know those were the same dvds from the bedroom and that there was something else in that box. What do they have on donny then if they had Afghanistan on Paul? Poor cosima Hope she is ok!! Wonder why the others haven't fallen sick yet? and what is this about them being someone's property. :S I really wanna rewatch all the scenes with mrs s now. What was her motivation for moving her to america and stuff hmm

I found it so funny omfg. Exactly, I really thought Alison at the start was one of them proud housewife soccermum type then you really start seeing what she's like. That is what I call character development!!. I kinda feel like after she met Sarah and Felix her whole world started crashing. Well she knew Donny for a long time, so I'm guessing in s2 there will be a whole lot more Donny sub stories as now we know he is a bad(?) person. (oi oi) Mrs s seems odd tbh, it makes you wonder who you can trust. I'm still 50/50 on paul. I want cosima to be OK her and delphine r so cute!!!

My fav clone at the start was obv cosima cause all her science talk was very cute, but alison really does grow. I thought she'd be one of the characters I'd hate tbh. Not too sure how long it will take alison to notice donny is her monitor. I know there was talks about it before, but alison isn't exactly the sharpest clone in the club . I don't think her friend was exactly innocent, she was a bit of a ***** tbh, although those two reminded me a bit of desperate housewives for some reason. NO DO NOT SAY DELPHINE MIGHT GO BACK. I really hope we can trust delphine, honestly I think she will turn out nice (but we say that about paul...) because she like helped cosima out with the binary and she has helped her a little! Although this is orphan black we are on about so nobody knows. I don't know what to think of the Proclone. I honestly think they've done good adding all these sub stories. And I kinda like how for once we know more than the police, which is something we lack in series and it is a really good touch. Although I think the police are gonna try and hide this. Police don't like publicity or media so..

Okay though really spoilers, don’t read ahead if you haven’t watched Orphan Black.
The “respiratory disease” that Katja and Cosima have is a failsafe put into their genetic code by the people who designed them, much like Jurassic Park’s Lysine Contingency.
Basically, the neolutionists put a genetic defect into the clones’ genetic codes that only they were able to stabilize, in order to force the clones to depend on the neolutionists. If any of them started to cause trouble or tried to run away, the neolutionists would simply stop administering the treatment and allow them to die off. The treatment would be administered during the medical exams orchestrated by their monitors.
This would be consistent with the fact that Katja got sick after she fled Europe and went into hiding, which would mean her monitor not being able to administer her treatment. Also, Cosima only started to get sick after her monitor defected from the neolutionists.
But then, that begs the question of why Helena and Sarah never got sick. I’d say that whatever’s different about them that caused them to naturally twin in the womb and gives them the unique ability to reproduce naturally is the same thing that gives them an immunity to the failsafe. I don’t think the neolutionists were aware of this, and the reason why they never placed a high priority of finding Sarah and Helena is because they assumed they must have died on their own, because they don’t have monitors and would not have received treatment for the failsafe defect.
I think that’s why it’s so important to the neolutionists to get Kira. I think that Kira, as well as Sarah and Helena, have some sort of natural immunity to the instability that could be used to stabilize the other clones and free them from the neolutionists’ control. I think that when they discovered that Sarah and Helena had been living outside their control, and that Sarah had reproduced of her own volition, that they could potentially break their grip on all the clones.
