Not exactly uncommon for Sulake to release stuff 2 weeks before said event. Besides there's always time to make more furniture that way and if they have a room building competition centred around Halloween then people are going to need the furniture now.

Regarding the swings, I'd say the best thing for them to do is make them clickable and then put them back in the catalogue. But whether they do that or not.. we'll see .

The swings aren't meant to be clickable because they're for the picnic public room and all furni in public rooms are made unclickable to give it that public room feel.
