I used to say the price and they normally know where I am getting off at. If they ask then I would tell them but these days I just show them a pass.

I always say the destination, I've never heard anyone say the price and I thought the location was standard.

I never get the bus where I live but when I go to university in London and I have to get the bus somewhere I just show the driver my travel card and walk on. Don't say anything to them and then I get off where I like. However, I would imagine I would say the destination rather than the cost of the fare as I generally wouldn't know. :]

In Glasgow I have a bus pass normally which I pay in a shop across the road and I just show it to the pass to the bus driver and walk on and if it's run out then I say the price - e.g £1.90 please.

In Edinburgh and I'm visiting mates then I've been told they say just a single which is £1.50.
