I like Windows 7, it does the job. I like to go on my computer to go on internet and do college work, don't need all this faffing around with apps and stuff.

I use Windows 8.1 with Start8 (as I despise Metro but 8.1 is smooth hence not 7). I also have a partition with OS X Mountain Lion, though currently mostly un-used whilst I weigh up whether to buy a MacBook Air.

I was using both Windows 7 and Mac OS X on my iMac but recently upgraded the Windows 7 to Windows 8.1.
Now.. going from Windows 7 to Mac OS X was really confusing for me, mainly because of the Finder and I did find Windows 7 easier to use. But then going from Windows 7 to Windows 8.1 was also a little confusing at first, but I soon got used to it.
HOWEVER, as much as I like Windows 8.1, it seems to love crashing multiple times per day and rebooting itself so I couldn't really trust it if I was doing work on it unless I was saving everything every 20 seconds :/. But hopefully I'll be able to fix that crashing problem anyway.. (apparently it's outdated drivers) so I'll look in to that. So I'm going to vote Windows 8 assuming I get that fixed.

I really like windows 8. Also, as I'm sure other people have said (even though I haven't read this...) mac isn't an operating system.

    windows > mac

    windows 8 > os anything

Not had the crashing problem at all, so definitely an isolated issue

I have windows 8 on my laptop and windows 7 on my computer. I tried to get used to windows 8 for 3 months but just couldn't. Rang Microsoft and downgraded my laptop to windows 7.
