To be honest by the looks of the Google Searches I did - I don't think it had that much success or any at all. Although I did find a thread on WebHostingTalk about job offers for it with one of the directors being called:

ClubTropica envisions becoming the next habbo crossed with Facebook aimed at older teenagers. I was project managing the development of the Shockwave Client element, the backend server development, and the front end website development. I was also highly involved in the custom PHP CMS development. The website is based off PHP and MySQL engines using a CMS platform I created from scratch, and currently has 15,000 members. I also developed a multi-threaded socket server for the shockwave client using PHPCLI using OO PHP, which was exciting for me as it was a first for me to use PHP to develop something that Java would usually take the place of.

Yeah, by the looks of it James is the also the person who is most likely keeping the domain/site as well.
Ione was long gone before any of this. You might be thinking of Becs who did Moshi Monsters.
