Default Someone find me a good laptop to buy

And if you suggest a Mac of any kind then feel free to go bury your face in acid because I want a decent machine that's good value for money and not an overpriced toy whose selling point is that it's supposedly pretty

Not a gaming laptop so doesn't need all the fancy extras for being able to click on someone at high speed, just something I can use for doing my work in a rather more portable mode than attempting to lug my desktop around with me. Looking at sort of £300 or less and the main quality I'm looking for is something that isn't going to break instantly since it's mostly just for messing about with Adobe suites (so decent size screen would be good rather than some notebook type thing) and a bit of basic browsing and stuff. I know the main bits and bobs with computing but since there are people here so seem to live for it I thought I'd be really kind and give you something to do, now fly my pretties and find me some bargains

I think you should go all out and get a gaming laptop, you'll be regretting getting something cheap to be honest. But if you actually want something easy and cheap, go for some sort of PC tablet Look in JB Hi Fi / Best Buy or that sort of electronic store Most of the time there is an expert hanging around the laptop/tablet section (that is the case in JB Hi Fi for me nearby) that will be able to recommend to you what you should get for your wants and needs.

My recommendation is a Mac Air or something easy like that but you won't buy that idea at all haha It's fine, you don't have to get a mac at all.

Is it a good thing that you have so much choice now these days? Just annoying or a good thing?
    Good luck in your research!

I am currently using Asus. Had it for 2 years soon 3 years and have NO problems with it yet. The battery last long in it and the one I have is blue. You can probably have a choice of 2 colours or 3. like Burgundy, grey and blue I am not sure. I really love my laptop and tough too

Be careful what you wish for!

I'd recommend going to saveonlaptops, filtering chaeapest to most expensive
find machines in that price boundry with i3 and i5 processors
then only consider brands such as sony vaio, asus, msi, samsung, toshiva or lenovo
thise are all gokd reputable brands that will last

So the 3 things said in OP was No gaming, no Mac, wants adobe products.

So you successfully wasted time by posting the exact opposite of what he wants, congratulations.

Also, there's not that much choice.

£70 difference between the 2, this has 250GB more HDD, 2GB extra RAM, TFT screen instead of LCD.

Cheers chaps, totally forgot about Tesco's global domination so that prob is a good place to look yeah bit better than my mum's method of computer shopping ie going to PC World and buying a £1000 Packard Bell because it has a BARGAIN sticker next to it

AND CLUBCARD POINTS YESSS btw what's the diff between TFT and LCD I thought they were pretty much the same technology
