Always say the destination, means if I have the wrong bus I haven't paid whatever price to go to somewhere else.

I used to say the destination as the buses I used to use were priced based on destination, now they're based on a "single" which is the same price no matter what stop you're going to. I've a bus pass, so I just touch the point and walk on, then say thanks as I walk off!

    "Single to town please."

Surely if you say the price to a nearer stop than you intend to get off at, you're getting half of the journey for free? I thought that's why you had to say the destination so they can charge you based on it. You wouldn't go into Tesco and say "a £1.79 please" to buy a loaf of bread...?

Before I turned 16 I would say '2.00 metro/day saver' because that shows I wanted a child metro but if I was just going to one place I'd say 'half to destination' but now I have a bus pass so it doesn't matter same with trams
