overrated actors

I don't think Jennifer Lawrence is overrated, but I've started to get sick of her ditsiness. I guess I think her personality is overrated but not her acting.

Someone who I think is overrated though is Angelina Jolie, I haven't seen any of her things in a while but what I have seen I didn't think she was that good.

I didn't know we have to mix in our views on their personality cause I thought this is about overrated actors not overrated celebrities so it has to do with their acting and not their personality right?

And maybe Jennifer Lawrence is a bit overrated but that doesn't mean she's not talented?? Yes, her popularity has to do with the success of the Hunger Games but her performance in Winters Bone was good. I agree she didn't deserve last year's Oscar cause apparently she delivered a better performance than Riva in Amour but award shows could be crap sometimes. If anything she should have gotten the award for winters bone. I'm not wowed by her performance but i think she's a fine actress and i hope she challenges herself to do more different roles


And anyone saying Johnny Depp is overrated without providing any valid reasons is either they haven't seen most of his films or don't know what's a good acting or both

Not going to ramble on how to judge an acting but bad acting could be attributed to many factors so yea

Jim Carey is one of those comedy actors that seems to have a 'winning formula' so plays virtually every character the same. Like Seth Rogen and Adam Sandler, for example. However there are exceptions such as I Love You Phillip Morris which I thought he was surprisingly great in.

Same with Jennifer Aniston I guess. Even though I love her she basically plays Rachel from Friends in every single film lol but she is mostly just in generic Hollywood romantic comedies so I guess there's not much room for her to breathe. She is slightly different in Office Space and v different in Horrible Bosses though.

Still wouldn't call either 'overrated' though. They have a job and do it well so people see their movies, good for them lol

OMG YES! Leonardo Dicaprio or w.e is well overrated! He's okay liek but not as good as people go on, just because he was in Titanic?

I think the problem with Leonardo is that all of his well-known performances are similar (and I say well know because as much as I like him, I've not actually seen him in an awful lot!) He is always the character in love whether it's Romeo and Juliet, Titanic or recently The Great Gatsby and will go to insane, often unrealistic measures for love, and then ends up dying. So, we don't see a lot of variation so it doesn't seem like he has much talent to show, but I think the roles he's played he's done a good job, especially with Romeo and Gatsby. He is the best Gatsby I've seen!
