Unless it's being directed at you there isn't much you can do because it's just how most people of our age use the word gay. In college it's said daily and I don't take it offensively, we all have a laugh really even the teachers. However if it is being directed at you then just keep talking to the teachers.

but really i think you just need to realise that it isn't said to hurt anyone. no one is really being harsh in this thread its just the truth tbh.
