Ok, two questions to @Chris; and @e5; then:

    1) Is there anyone on this forum that is offended by the word dick? I mean, half the forum is 18+...

    2) Explain how dick is more offensive then piss, lmfao, omfg, wtf, ffs.

    3) How is 'What a penis' any less offensive than 'What a dick'

The first post in that thread was breaking the rules and was closed on that basis. The fact people replied to it to purposely keep it on topic was irrelevant to me and didn't play a part in whether I kept the thread open or not. There was no need to re-activate a thread dating back 5 years when a new one could have been made with current issues, that of which have changed over 5 years, believe it or not.

    1) Yes, there probably is and I'd rather we prevent other from being offended. I don't know the statistics on ages on here but I wouldn't say it was half.
    2) Why don't we just unfilter all rude words? I mean this could go on forever.

What was the name of that whale?

    Oh yeah, Moby Schlong.

And what about good old Cressida Schlong, the highest ranked female police officer in the UK?
You're just being facetious now as this doesn't crop up regularly, if at all on this forum.

Did you read the thread? There was a big discussion on unfiltering dick - hence why I thought it was relevant to post in the same thread? Doesn't matter anyway, since we have this thread now.

    1) Did you not see the 'How old are you?' poll recently, I'm pretty sure 50% was over 19, but I said 18 to be safe.
    2) It's not really an unnecessary problem (if it was, wouldn't you just ignore this thread and carry on?) - I just think it's silly for people to be warned for saying dick. (Especially since I posted in a feedback thread about the filter - which is allowed).

Schlong Cheney was my favourite US Vice President.

Why is this word so important to you to be unfiltered? Is this a word you commonly use, can you not think of better words to describe your feelings?

The filter for this isn't going to change.

Because it's a stupid word to be filtered. And no, I need to use the word ****. I mean, I feel stupid for saying:

Look at this interview with Conan O'Brien and Schlong van Dyke.

Thought this might happen, clearly you can only see searches on your own account.

You try it yourself, you get 28 results.

28/98 are under 18, we get approx 250 members visiting a day, that's 2.5 times the number of people who responded to the poll, let's suppose for some reason that the underage members are misrepresented by that figure (although it's likely not the case) 28*2.5=70 which incidentally is the number of people who said they were 18 or over, which makes 50% otherwise known as half. Magic
