I just think AGMs should focus on AGM roles rather than other roles personally.
Do you know what these guidelines were or just speculating?ok I'll just say what everyon is thinking..... I highly doubt there was anything 'planned' at all - probably too busy revamping news or some other behind the scenes rubbish. this is a big occasion that had guidelines for each fansite that were easily followed and our community departments either weren't made aware or weren't dedicated enough to the cause to make something happen. valentine event was ugly and paddys day one is non existant. lets just hope that the easter one that has seemingly been being organised for the past 2 months is not quite as terrible.
@Drew; did ur team make us a badge?
In my experience, Habbo are rubbish with instructions, often ambiguous and subject to change on their whim and suddenly what you had planned needs an immediate overhaul (although the latter may have been teething problems cos fansite spotlight was new, it got a bit more stable later on). It's still not an excuse to missing the deadline though and new badges are definitely a way to get instant advertising. I don't think fansites have worked out just yet precisely how to manipulate it to its maximum potential for long-term benefit but missing that opportunity is a shame.
I know I go on about lack of leadership in the general management team but in Matt's defence, he did keep a close eye on things like this (probably cos he recognises how important it is) so we also need to ask what he was (or wasn't) doing during this too.
All the rooms has some sort of leprechaun or design to match the badge, they all also had the same objective (fill up a space with x amount of habbos to get the badge) - I doubt all 9 of the fansites who bothered to participate in this came together to suggest they do the exact same thing.Do you know what these guidelines were or just speculating?

so no real need to come up with any original idea and struggle for days trying to think of something that isn't a maze? Well if that's the case, that sounds like a really boring fansite event (9 fansites with the exact same thing?) but if it was that straightforward, it's difficult to imagine how anything could've been planned yet not materialised.
I'm assuming then that Habbo delegated badges or were they designed by graphics team then make a room from that?
9 different but cute badges, it would have been packed........ so what if it wasnt difficult lolso no real need to come up with any original idea and struggle for days trying to think of something that isn't a maze? From the badges I've seen, they look like they were designed by the fansites.so no real need to come up with any original idea and struggle for days trying to think of something that isn't a maze? I'm not going to blame anyone but we simply missed the deadline for this event. All the emails that were sent to us was posted by myself and I made sure that General Management were tagged into it (especially Community AGM) to make sure that they can look into it and deal with it necessary. I wasn't fully around as I've had to go outside the Habbox world and do some other personal business.
I know Laura asked about the deadline and the task with Sam a couple of times - I am not sure where that went as I think that was in private channels rather than in the group skype chat.
Although what I do recommended is we do the following seeing as there is four of us and even If I'm not here it should still be able to get done:
- Emails when they are arrive into the inbox ---> Get posted in AGM Forum (They do already)
- Reminders set on some sort of application or service (OneNote / Google Calendar) depending on what the others use to remind them of such tasks and that they need to be completed by X.
- Lock the Community AGM in a room with a computer.
That way all members of General Management know what needs to be done, by when even If myself or one of the others isn't there. So I apologise for us missing the deadline it just seems to have been bad timing but we'll get that sorted.

When I was first promtoted to AGM, and got back from leave, there was an email from Sulake in a thread, which I asked a few questions and came up with an idea for. I think it was posted before I actually joined, and I was on limited activity until the deadline (I think, I didn't really know when the deadline was).
Then, getting settled into my own role (which TECHNICALLY doesn't have anything to do with community although I'm more than happy to help out, and will be looking further into events in the future!), means that it did kinda slip my mind a bit. I did ask about the deadline more than once but with both the Community AGM and GM taking a bit of a step back this week for personal issues I think it's extremely counter-productive to be quite so negative as y'all are.
In future though, you can all rest assured that with a new, very well-functioning and communicating AGM team, we will be searching out and pushing our involvement in events like this.
It's something to look into as well, creating a definitive calendar of what things we as a fansite have to do on certain days, something which I've suggested to the GM team now.
