Some of my friends who have done this have also added a picture showing their donation to the cause too. But I bet there's a lot of people posting these pics without even realising what it's for.Are they actually doing anything more than just that? Because that's about as useful as the pointless likes they will receive. Unless they're helping to fund it or anything useful it's a completely useless and selfish act. Also, does it really need more awareness? Everyone knows of it - being make-up less doesn't change that.
Quite a lot of my friends have done this and they have also donated. I can see why people don't like the idea but a lot of money has been raised.
I think like any other cause some people will completely miss the point of it which is to be expected really but if it is actually making a difference in even a small way then that's a good thing isn't it? A lot of people I know have also been posting a lot of information about different types of cancer which I think is great because I doubt people would have actively went and searched things like how to: http://www.coppafeel.org/boob-check/
Anyway it hasn't bothered me and I did one myself and donated. I probably wouldn't have donated otherwise but this kind of made me feel obliged to because whenever any of my friends ask me to donate to a certain cause I usually do.
Anyway that's just MY opinion.
there's also the sock on a **** testicular cancer thing which has not been quite as popular. thank god.
im with shar, maybe it's gone straight over some people's head but these viral things can easily be ignored so it just seems a bit snobby to be dismissive of them when they do have some impact even if it's smaller than people assume
yeah i was only saying other day how i was scrolling through facebook and seen one, couldn't believe my eyes!!! was pretty shocked because one had the sock on and one had the sock off hahathere's also the sock on a **** testicular cancer thing which has not been quite as popular. thank god.

only now people on my facebook have started saying about donating, which is pretty good considering nobody was mentioning it before. great to post about how to check too![]()
no sock lol thats just bizarre (facebook? what sort of friends do you have!)
Just read that it's raised 2m for cancer research so yeah perhaps not as pointless as people are making out: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-26683817
its a nice thing but on instagram someone posted a baby with a sock on his willy which i just thought was just wrong.
what the hell!
well i'm a hypocrite after blasting it and making fun of it i did it today, but donated to a mental health charity for depression instead. i think it's great that cancer research is getting so much attention but it would be nice if people were to chose their own charities to donate to and equal out the lovin
