sorry didn't realise I was to make a feedback thread for every error I find, just wanted an answer in realtime in the thread. Still think my infraction is undeserved. this is a good time to point out to mods that rules aren't there (imho) to be applied literally and to the letter, if it's clear that an individual has honest intentions then punishment should not be give.

How many times did you say the word? Cause if it was only the once, then really you have a case for not getting an infraction straight the way. If not, good luck

I imagine at first it was done on accident, but when people realised the filter didn't pick it up, then people went with it.

Imagine if the forum filter broke down completely, and people started saying words on the filter, would that still count as avoiding the filter? Because that's how I see the current situation, just the filter not working with that one word

I don't think that's a good example simply due to the fact that the word was in the filter. It's not as if ****face means anything other than ****(space)face which is avoiding the filter, combing the two to avoid it.

Yeh stupidly strict, i think from mod to smod is fine with the modcp issue but the rest of the rankings are rubbish

Very true, but the filter still failed to do it's job, shitface is filtered with and without the space - you'd expect the same.

I suppose it's not really an issue what reason is issued for a warning/infraction anyway - assuming they hold the same 'value'.

adding letters/words/characters on the end of a filtered word knowing its not going to filter that filtered word is actively avoiding the filter duh

first post was asking why it was filtered, which was the one that was edited and that I was infracted for (didn't receive any pms about it like casanova seems to have done :S) then I posted again asking "can you please filter the word".
I initially actually reported casanova's post cos I thought he was using formatting in his post to avoid the filter... turns out when I tried it that the word wasn't filtered. forum admin problem.
