Like a few posters in this thread, getting addicted to Habbo is my only real regret in life, from 2005-10 I voluntarily chose to have virtually no social life as Habbo took over my life. I've very little to show for it other than wasting a large portion of my childhood which I'll never get back. I guess I enjoyed it at the time though which sort of counts for something, certainly met some fantastic people on there and here.

Interesting how it seems to have some very positive and some very negative effects for people on here.

In some respects it has made things worse for me. I was doing my A levels at the time I was AGM (Content) and I definitely let my studies slip which ultimately put me a couple of years behind my friends. On the flip side of that, doing other things whilst my 'friends' were off at university, I went to college and met some amazing people, of which most of them I feel will be friends for life. It's had it's ups and downs and you can't dwell on hindsight but I don't really regret anything. Joining Habbo/x hasn't added anything to my life, however the circumstances that came from it have.

Think it has, I kinda stopped hanging out with friends irl, and at the hight of it I was probs on habbo 6hrs str8 every day, and like 14hrs in the summer. Now I've kinda spaced things out and retaught myself to be social irl. So alls been good. Hangin out with people a bit more.

One thing it has done is lead me to know that theyre are more LGBT people than I thought. I thought maybe 1 in a million, but kinda makes me feel better to know its not some rare thing. (some survey conducted stated its like 3/10 r lgbt, I honestly think maybe 1/10 now)

awwww bless you thank you omg
i never really mentioned the negatives opps
    i have another positive though
lit the people ive spoken to are fab too there are things i tell people on here thatd i wouldnt dream of telling people irl like i know something i spoke to tom about i wouldnt dream of telling anyone else lmao
and then there are people who in all honesty idk what id do like @FlyingJesus; is honestly like a brother to me and hes there for me when i need someone and idk its nice to know or when im having trouble or whatever he'll help me/speak to me surei can speak to people irl but the one friend i genuinely trust irl is some vamps lover who wont take anything seriously id rather have someone i can actually speak to with them offer advice lmao and i feel bad because i cant even do that back
and then theres @Sharon; who i obv met from on here but i feel as if shes my mum (even if theres only 11 months diff) and she'll rage to me about whatever or speak to me and idk we'll go through phases of not even speaking but when we do speak she makes me v happy and i care bout her lol like i havent even met her or whatever but she worries me so much like when i got a phonecall from her the other month and she was crying like i wanted to cry too omg sharon when you read this you are my favfavfavfav lyl xo

hi sorry i had to put that
    then obv the negatives
i'll love speaking to people so much that i'll be up until 4am speaking to people that keep me happy and then wake up for school the following morning thinking bobba why the bobba did i do that and then suffer throughout school or i'll prob be one of them people who go through looking for a sapphire duck through credit shops til 2am lmao then it'll distract me from everything that needs to be done
    i had an essay due on saturday but i was too busy doing stuff for eurovision that i didnt even remember @lemons; @Evanora;
    but then thinking about it
if i had the chance to go back and just skip past habbo like never had the option to join it or say it wasnt here
i'd join it again lol its def had negative things but theres been so many positives i wouldnt even change it
i wouldnt say its killed my social life i just generally dont want to go out
i can stop and sya i want to go to the park and do that without an issue
hasnt made me anti social either i will sit on the bus and speak to the stranger sat next to me or go to an athletics tournament and speak to all the people there idk idc about that stuff lol it certainly hasnt wrecked my life or whatever just helped kill a part i was already killing myself lol i didnt help myself at all with my work

    hi to sum this up:
ive been rubbish to myself but met people who are fantastic and @Sharon; ilyl xo

hey this was quite a long post
be proud guys they dont come around very often
can only remember doing 4 like this before and 2 were in hxl forum

Habbox and Habbo have made me meet people I wouldnt know of. Socializing has been easier as well and have learnt alot of things from both and real life stuff from it. Came close to people I wouldn dream of!!! @Cassiieee; although we have fall outs lol. I generally find it hard to socailize irl. School wasnt where I wanted to be ye you kno that!!

omg i dont think its held back my social life, sure there have been times where ive stayed in and played habbo instead of be with friends but i think thats just me being anti social and even without habbo i probs wouldve stayed in that day anyway!!!!! the same as i said for studying i would find something else void my time not studying instead of habbo lol

like now idc bout speak in public and i'll get on the bus and speak to the person next to me or i'll speak to people at the bus stop and just speak infront of my school or whatever idk idc at all but before becoming a dj i wouldnt lol

Kinda have to be honest here, I really don't think it has. When you look at the tasks the different departments do, yes they help to make Habbox the best site going, but when you take out one single persons job in the department and look at that as a whole, no it hasn't benefited me. How could it?

I'm 21 years old, and I'm a Head DJ for an online radio station which is apart of a website which I cannot tell anyone about. So aside from having fun whilst DJing, meeting some really cool people, and stressing about meeting minimums, keeping my team in check, etc, I see no benefit, other than pleasure.

Sorry if this isn't what you wanted to read

It provides/d me a forum to discuss all things Habbo after the removal of Habbo Forums so I appreciate that. I'm certainly not addicted but I enjoy posting here when I have spare time.

The hardcore community here is very non-inclusive I have noted and that's probably why I am not AS addicted to these forums as I was the habbo forums like answers and chapter. I'm just here to talk post about Habbo and other things here or there but not in an inclusive nature

    ehhhhhh

bad in that it made me think only internet people were nice and rl people couldnt be so i stuck to internet people only when its mostly been the exact opposite!!! bad that people on here, ~friends~, made me aware of all the apparent flaws i have which no-one irl ever mentioned????????? cheers guys

good; learnt better grammar, especially as u get attacked for not using proper 'your/you're' etc lmao. cool and good people who have restored my faith in humanity and also given me different perspectives to life. most importantly, finding someone who makes me look forward to the future and everyday
