can you not take it back to the apple shop and get a new one?

Genuine Apple will be expensive. It's the Apple tax.
I imagine if you look for non-genuine then you'll find some well made power supplies for cheaper.Chippiewill.

When mine died I took it back to the Apple store and they gave me a new one.

i'm not sure because it's the end bit that the rubber came off and the wires fried, i'm over my warranty and we don't have an apple shop here just a compu b, i bought it online

Nope. I wouldn't worry too much about frying your laptop, it's far more likely that the charger would just break and you'd get a refund. Originally Posted by wixard
