What are your thoughts on the State Opening of Parliament?

I always really like it,

I think its weird how even in the modern age Britain carries out some of its oldest traditions.

Like with all the weird stuff such as banging on the doors,
the black rod and sweeping the floors ect.

It's a fantastic piece of history that anybody should watch, really shows the great constitutional set up we have in this country in regards to the relationship (seperation of powers) between the Monarchy, House of Lords and House of Commons.

Plus, it really gets up the nose of republicans and those on the anti-British left so there's the other added bonus.

I really like the idea, I think it will be beneficial for later generations!
