The suspect must've trawled through her personal profiles in order to obtain clues to hack the account. Security wouldn't be the best on her alt because it was her non-staff account, and had nothing apart from a copied theatredome she probably forgot was on there.

I've seen a lot of people arguing over whether players should have got a full refund, personally I believe the only people who would have brought this furniture would have been people informed of it being on the marketplace and the event taking place - not innocent Habbos. I mean, its very unlikely someone is to search theatre_ on the marketplace and innocently buy a piece without knowing about the situation.

That is an incredibly valid point lmao. Also, how long was it available for? Because I doubt a gigantic mass newbies would have all suddenly realised these amazing new furnis if it was only up for an hour.

Few hours, most of it was brought out by a few users though. I think people were more inclined to keep it rather than sell it on to newbs.

Hey guys am gonna go rob a bank via a bomb threat and use the money to buy drugs, it's the bank's fault because they should secure themselves more against criminals [p.s. the security they have at the moment is as good as it gets]. Absolutely not the criminal's fault in any way shape or form. Overexaggerated example but you understand the point.
So you rob and bank and spend the money on DFS sofas. Some one buys it and is technically handling stolen goods. Should their hard earnt money spent on the sofas not be refunded and the sofas taken away with nothing left to show?

The sofa is not a stolen good, the money is? It doesn't matter if it was bought with stolen money, that doesn't make the sofa any less real.

The sofa is bought with stolen money therefore the sofas were never legitimately bought and have to be returned. For a refund

If someone buys the sofa from him with their legitimate money, then there is no need to issue a refund dependant upon the price the sofa was resold for, but instead DFS need to return the stolen money to the bank.

I have just realised this is going so far off course in par with what act happened on Habbo.

Im legit jus gonna finalise myself and repeat what ive said. Majority of people knew they were buying stuff that shouldn't have been released, they knew it was wrong and knew they shouldn't have bought it. Simply knowing what you're doing is wrong deserves enough punishment. Just because an error happens it does not give you automatic right to exploit it. No-one deserves a refund.

there im done im sick of posting so much in this thread jfc

Read my above final post (sorry i didnt edit quick enough). DFS effectively lose out but the thief also gets punished. >>>> compare to Habbo>>> the 'hacker' should get punished and anyone who bought/"accepted" the stolen goods (even if you apparently were completely unaware of it somehow..) lose out.

    /END ALL RESPONSES BY ME
