but if people actually rejoin due to legacy then the market for EoC will improve so better £/gp so they'll likely return especially given the price of stuff atm is stupidly high.

what's player owned ports? just a new section of the PoH?

what did they change to CW? I noticed my 1.4k CW tickets got changed to 'gold'

what does the pledge of allegiance to a specific boss do?

instanced god wars? so you're no longer able to crash people or?

    yesss a slayer update

how hard is vorago, compared to the likes of nex? i remember nex being a pain in the ass when it first came out due to dif mechanics rather than right click and wait for it to die

what do you get from divination and how do you train it?

ohh are the original barrows brothers still there? i assume the brothers are the same as before just hit harder or are they dif mechanics?

what improved with giant mole and slayer helm?

PoP is a solo minigame in Port Sarim. Essentially it's like one of those Facebook games, you have a ship and a crew (and you can upgrade it the crew and ship parts) and send them out on voyages to unlock stuff, and the further you go the longer it takes the ship to travel. So you'll start off and each voyage will take 20 minutes... At my stage it takes my ships 12 hours for a voyage. The rewards are very good though, you can build Lv 85 armour for Melee/Magic/Range, or you can build tradeable sets of those armour (Has slightly worse stats than the untradeable armour) and can sell them for a few million. Also introduces scrimshaws, items that go in a new pocket slot that just provide some benefits to skilling and combat. Worth doing, and it will take you a while to unlock the stuff, but if you want the stuff in the future best start now (Plus Lv. 80 armour is worth many many millions still).

CW just had a few improvements, mostly to rewards. You need 4k gold tickets for the completionist trimmed cape, so 1.4k is a very decent amount (considering it's about 2 tickets per 20 mins assuming you win each time).

Pledge of allegiance is mostly for lore, you can get a few XP rewards if you do a few tasks, but mainly you get a title and it changes quest dialogue for you.

Instanced god wars means you can't get crashed, but you have to pay a fee. You can also unlock hard mode god wars if you do it instanced which has better rewards.

Vorago is super hard. There's 5 different 'rotations', essentially each week you have to kill it in a different way and you need at least 5 people with 10,000 LP each just to survive the initial blow at the start of the battle. The unique drops from the boss are so rare that they're still worth 1 billion gp+.

Divination training is very easy, a simple gathering skill. These wisps fly around near a crater, you click on wisp, get a full inventory, then deposit into the crater. When you harvest the wisps you get energy (stackable, tradeable) and memories (unstackable, untradeable). The memories you convert into the crater for XP/More energy. The energy you can craft into various things or sell. You can also transmute items with the energy, so you can turn gold charms into green charms, or adamant ore into rune ore. You can also get Divine Locations with the energy, and it's essentially a portable item location. So someone could put down a 'Shark Bubble', you click on it, and you harvest Raw Shark - except that you harvest it at full speed (So there's no chance of failing, so you fill up your inventory very fast). Can only collect so many items from divine locations and you can only create yourself one once a day.

Original barrows brothers are still there, this is just a hard mode that's separate. Totally different mechanics, you go in as two pairs of two (so 4 people total) and each pair has 30 seconds to kill 3 brothers each (and they have new special attacks etc).

Giant Mole just has slightly different mechanics and drops, mainly a noob boss, not worth doing. Slayer helm just has added benefits, nothing to write home about.

I know you say quests are crap, but honestly, it's the best thing going for RuneScape at the moment. The level of detail (Voice acting, new musical scores, content/lore) is just amazing. Of course, you'll probably have to go through loads of crap quests to get to the recent ones (There are some that require no requirements though), but it's worth it.

Also, The World Wakes quest is very important, it advances the game from the 5th age to the 6th age and essentially opens up so much more content. We now have quests exploring all the gods (The latest quest was a Bandos quest) and it's pretty awesome.

I love the quests, quest cape was my first 1 and I'm enjoying the Gods storyline too. I'd recommend it!

EoC isn't bad, esp now that they have revolution.

I actually like EoC better for general use, although if I were a pk'er I would hate it.

    What is revolution?

I'm not a PKer, but I have no interest in learning rotations to play Runescape, if I want to mash a 20 button rotation everytime I want to attack I'll rejoin WoW

I, like a lot of people, liked Runescape for the simplicity in the combat. Click and away you go, anything more than that puts me off (enough to quit already)

that's what revolution is, you set up your action bar right and it does all automatically. all you got to do is attack.
useful for a big boss where you got to do multiple things at once. I used it on the latest quest

    oh, that seems alright.

as long as you just click the boss and it does the damage i'm fine with that, but having to click each button i'd rather not rejoin

    i'll see.

Legacy is what you're describing, you click and then you just keep attacking. But with legacy you have to have everything in it's old style. Old style menus, old style health etc. Plus it's only in beta, not released yet.

Revolution is part of EoC. EoC you have the basic abilities, threshold abilities (which require 50% adrenaline) and ultimate abilities (which require 100% adrenaline). Normal EoC, you have to button mash: So for example: 1234124121415...

Revolution will automatically use basics and thresholds as soon as they come available, so all you need to do is use an ultimate ability if you want too...

Revolution at the moment does way more damage than Legacy, and you get to keep all the nicer looking menus (in my opinion anyway).

    But Revolution really is better.

Oh, and whilst people might hate PKing on EoC, on the beta you can choose between EoC and legacy, and if people are pking, people on EoC win every time (more damage per second).

yeah I know, and I'm used to the old system/menus/etc as I quit the day EoC got introduced.

EoC may be better for now, but as you said it's still in beta. Jagex stated that both damages will be optimal, and if they're not similar I can imagine there being a lot of complaints and lack of people rejoining (which is the reason they're re-introducing legacy in the first place, trying to get back members after their second (arguably first) largest mistake in RS history)

So if they do leave Legacy severely lower damage then no-one will rejoin
