Are 4K Televisions worth it at the moment?

Only because I'm tempted by an LG set that I can get around £900, but the thing that puts me off is the fact of their being very little content.

But it would future proof it, and the TV does upscale so thats persuading me as well.

at the moment, no because of 'very little content' as you say

If there isn't enough content for you, hold out - the prices will only fall.

If you need a TV regardless then you may as well get a 4K one, but if you don't need a new TV and your current one will still be good for another couple of years then hold out, the prices will halve and halve again.

Theres no point dropping £900 on a TV that will affectively give you the exact same experience as a £200 HD TV, especially when you can hook up a £50 smart box and have more features then you can get from most smart TVs.
Future proofing isn't a factor, by the time 4k content becomes readily available you'll have yourself an outdated TV with better models on the market at half the price you paid for yours.
