Hmm, not sure how it can be immigrants to blame when car ownership in general has shot up. A pretty weak excuse which he should have simply not said in the first place.

Folk need to wake up and realise the real issues that are facing us.
We are blessed to stay in a country where we get free healthcare, free education and opportunities second to none. The migrant who enter this country would give an arm and a leg to get these opportunities, hence why the amount migrants put-in is higher than what they take out. They work night and day to provide for there families so that they can be given opportunities that we take for granted. Increase the minimum wage, cut the tax loopholes, apply hereditary tax and kick out the nonce's why are; Ed Millibands Labour(Red tories) and David Cameron and his Eton chums.

Increase the minimum wage, cut tax loopholes, slap yet another tax on the economy........ all sound lovely but time after time do not work. If it was as simple as that, legislating prosperity for ourselves, then Britain would be a very rich country: but that's not the case. Essentially you've just given us a recipe to increase youth unemployment and drive away investment from these shorts.

The issue is, and the most important according to scientific surveys to the British public, is mass immigration over the past decade which has had a huge impact on schools, healthcare, welfare, roads, nursery places, social housing and so on and so forth. Then there's also the issue of social cohesion and social strife in areas with large migrant populations as cultures clash: even senior Labour figures now warn of the danger of rioting in towns and cities which have essentially been ghettoised.

So stop attempting to silence the public on the mass immigration issue. This country and its people have a right to decide who comes in.

The public certainly seem more aware of the issue rather than the government which predicted back in 2004 that only 13,000 a year would come.

Population of Britain in 1990: 57,200,000
Population of Britain in 2014: 64,100,000
    Percentage Increase: 12.07%

Population of World in 1990: 5,278,000,000
Population of World in 2014: 7,280,000,000
    Percentage Increase: 37.97%

Obviously a large proportion of that growth is in China and India, but still worth noting the difference in population growth there.

A few other countries just for comparison...

    Spain 1990: 38,836,000
    Spain 2012: 47,200,000
    Percentage Increase: 21.54%

    USA 1990: 226,545,000
    USA 2013: 316,100,000
    Percentage Increase: 39.53%

    Poland 1990: 38,119,000
    Poland 2013: 38,496,000
    Population Increase: 0.99%

    Romania 1990: 22,760,000
    Romania 2013: 19,960,000
    Population Decrease: -12.30%

    ----

Now, I notice that Romania's population has indeed fallen, and if you account for birth rate, Poland's may have ever so slightly (on a real-term basis). But can someone explain how immigration is to blame for the 107,000,000 extra people in the USA, GB and Spain alone? I didn't pick and choose countries here depending on figures - I just picked a few random countries.
