No chance of that in the near future.

I've got no clue, but what I do think is that Habbo needs to innovate itself again - become a more social game with integrated Twitter and Youtube widgets, the ability to share spotify music in your rooms etc and make the Habbo experience more of an adventure to what it already is.

On the subject, the CIO of PostNord wrote a blog post on the lack of development in Habbo and the refusal to keep up with trends, you can read this below:

    The Last Lesson of Habbo

In 2007 the Finnish company Sulake surpassed Swedish furniture giant IKEA in global sales of furniture. For me this was a huge eye-opener and my first real lesson in digitalisation - because Sulake sold digital furniture on its social network site Habbo Hotel - where kids spent real money buying digital furniture and food for their (always hungry) digital pets.

I realized quickly that digital products was far better to produce and sell than physical - no production, no material, no transportation. Absolutely perfect!

But in the digital world the distance between full success and full failure is short - now in 2015 Habbo just announced closing its gates after having been deserted by its audience whom jumped on to newer generation of mobile social media like Snapchat and Instagram.

Back then Habbo taught me about digital and my kids about online and early social media - and now eight years later Habbo gives its last lesson: Never stop developing your business - digital dies just like any other outdated product - just faster!

Why? They've already got the option to change the hotel client's language.

Have you ever tried doing some homework on Google Translate? It is terrible for any logical sentences. Now, add in text language - it will be hideous.

Skype is about to introduce more conversion of languages and is used far more widely than Habbo. 5 years time, anything can happen!

Skype is backed by a company that spent $10bn on research and development in one year. Habbo gets less than 1/100th of that in revenue, never mind profit to spend on R&D.

I doubt it would get closed down. If anything it would just get sold on and on. IMO, it's too complicated now. They've ruined it. I visit every now and then and can't figure out how to do **** all.

but for a commercial company it will cost a lot, if they even manage it in the first place. They won't just get it for free.

I know but it's still achievable and is likely to be a norm in 5 years time.
