    • Do you listen to habboxlive? No
    • Do you listen to other habbo radio stations? No
    • What does other radio stations have that habboxlive does not have? Not 100% sure due to not tuning in!
    • Would you tune in if there was more shows dedicated to specific genres that you may enjoy? Maybe
    • If 'Yes' to the last question, what sort of music genre shows would you like to hear? Depends on the songs too, and the DJ. If the DJ speaks every 10 seconds - no.
    • If you were to be placed in the management role of this department tomorrow, what would you change?

    1. Stop with the time wasters
    2. just song shows
    3. community shows which have events

    • Would you tune in more often if there was bigger habbo related prizes? No - don't really play habbo any more.
    • Would you tune into the station if there was prizes for non-habbo related prizes? (Giftcards etc) Yes
    • What does habboxlive lack in? Dedicated Staff members (there are a few).

If 'Yes' to the last question, what sort of music genre shows would you like to hear? n/a
If you were to be placed in the management role of this department tomorrow, what would you change? Put focus on microphone skills and on-client interaction

Would you tune into the station if there was prizes for non-habbo related prizes? (Giftcards etc) [Yes / No]
What does habboxlive lack in? DJs who are enthusiastic about interacting with their audience. There are some but it seems to be a rarity and it's really the most important part of the job since anyone can stick on whatever tunes they want if they're just after a bit of music - the way a slot is presented should take priority over having a few tunes to stream

Thanks for creating this, Richie! I've had a read through and these are the possible changes that we'll be discussing with HabboxLive management this week:

    • Banning streaming during peak hours & weekends
    • More special shows - E.g. Debates Show
    • More double DJ shows
    • Bigger prizes, giveaways, etc
    • Less restrictions on how many times an artist can be played per hour
    • More lenience on uncensored music with the introduction of watershed hours
    • DJ Quality Control - More use of the test servers during DJ trial stage
    • Bigger variety of music. Less chart songs.

I will +rep everyone who has contributed too! Thanks.

With that are you planning on introducing 'peak hours'. Because yes, in the UK 12pm is a time when you probably feel you can play more uncensored songs, but with International DJs, 12PM GMT is 7PM for me, being my peak hours. I do not agree with this idea, considering Habbo is now .com and there isn't just UK people at the site anymore.

I'm not perfect but I'll keep trying.

i think we should just allow uncensored tracks there just words. as for the point @Wispur; has said about lookign at bigger prizes i agree with this i know when i was a HxL DJ i tried to be quite a chatty person and i liked to mix with people on the client when id be on air, my comps were also usually proze orientated as i have a ton of furni i never used so my prizes per show ranged from about 25c minimum to 60c maximum, some djs still provide good prizes (gina/kimmy etc) but some dont even have comps so there isnt a reason people tune in. i only tune in when gina and kimmy are on now so i apologise to others but they just play the same recycled trash all the time or stream and if i wanted that id listen to itunes. it really does simply need more community based approach and i feel the new updates you are quoting to focus on will certainly improve on this and as a result i really look forward to it. it will hopefully bring me back to the HxL site more and will maybe get back into it.

I guess this is really late; however as I do have several senior experiences for radio in fansites, I suppose I'll just be really honest to help you guys. c:

    Do you listen to HxL?
Kind of, yeah. I used to be addicted to HxL back in 11' (when I became a DJ for the first time, lol)
Do you listen to other radio stations?
Yeah, I go on ThisHabbo a lot. HFFM sometimes, but generally ThisHabbo.
What does other radio stations have that HabboxLive does not have?
Definitely professionalism. The DJs (whenever I tune in) tend to blabber on about the littlest of things and based on what I listen to, there isn't really much events and competitions being done on air. Considering that my little critique may go onto Events, I'll just stop there, ha ha. Also, as far as I'm concerned, HxL barely has listeners compared to other fansites (ala FH, TH, HFFM, HC) so I think something should be done about that.
Would you tune in if there was more shows dedicated to specific genres you may enjoy?
As long as the DJ is professional and does not drag on about listeners while asking people tuning in to sign up for the forum at least 3 times within their slot, then maybe.
If 'Yes' to the last question, what sort of music genre shows would you like to hear?
Anything that isn't overloaded with Mainstream Top 40 stuff. I mean yes, play some popular songs but having Meghan Trainor/Sam Smith/Ed Sheeran/Ariana Grande being played over and over again pisses me off. But that's just my opinion.
If you were to be placed in the management role of this department tomorrow, what would you change?
I wouldn't really change anything staff-wise because honestly, Habbox has the best management (imo!) and best staff layout but I'd definitely work on bringing back the listeners. This will require a tremendous amount of work and the support from other departments like Events and Help Desk, because our target market is Habbo users. My formula for this is more Habbo events = more Habbo listeners. It really helps. Also, I'd bring the DJs closer by doing group Skype calls, bonding sessions like online karaoke and etc. This can bring the staff community more closer and having that happen will eventually equal enthusiasm on the radio as their friends would tune in - which of course, brings in da peepz.
Would you tune in more often if there was bigger habbo related prizes?
No, I'm not interested in Habbo anymore.
Would you tune into the station if there was prizes for non-habbo related prizes?
If it involves giving money/gift-cards as prizes, then hell yeah.
    What does habboxlive lack in?
I'd refer back to my previous statement regarding what other fansites have and HxL have. I don't really know what goes behind the scenes in HxL (since I've been working in radio for other sites) but I think HxL should really beef up on staff support. From what I know with most DJs, they all tend to tune out when it isn't their slot. Maybe it's because they don't really care about the DJ, but not having support from your staff members in the end is prime reason of why the radio never improves.

The idea of a watershed was discussed when I was AGM and didn't go forward for this reason so I agree.

If you were to be placed in the management role of this department tomorrow, what would you change
Firstly I'd get rid of the ban on only playing one song by one artist per hour, but of course the DJs should not go overboard playing tens of songs by the same artist.

There would be lots of new weekly shows or bi-weekly shows, mainly based upon genre but there are other endless possibilities not including genre

Perhaps a show that's more to do with talking and community interaction than the songs themselves. I'm sure I remember hearing something about a weekly debate or discussion show that was going to happen, maybe something similar? I'm not sure if it exists or not, but if not it is perhaps something @-:Undertaker:-; could talk about with the HxL manager and even get different DJs or members to join in on debates or discussions.

A debates show is actually a really good idea. I know some DJs have something called VAC where they can invite other members on air via a call on Skype. It'd be cool to have some forum members come on air to debate a topic that's chosen during the week on the forum.

I know personally that a lot of the problems with HabboxLive lie internally with both DJ's interaction and DJ's enthusiasm. The community interaction is extremely sparse right now, and it's shocking the amount of people who actually bother to go on client during their slots, something I aim to entirely obliterate; perhaps making it a rule to be on client whenever you're hosting.

Streaming is another thing that I'm attempting to counter. I've already established a rule that if you're caught streaming without reporting it, you face a caution/warning. I believe that people will be more obliged to make the effort if they have to report themselves.

There will be more prospective events for everyone to take part in (as they've also been sparse) though of course, this takes some planning.

Bigger prizes is yet another thing I'm trying to counter. Every month, I spend some of my own wage to stock up something called my 'HabboxLive Fund'. This is entirely for DJs to use whenever they'd like to host a competition on client or on air.

I've created an events room where every week on a Sunday, someone will host a HxL Event both on client and on air, where there will be the chances to grab both VIP and credits (where it be in the form of GBs or sacks etc). This, again, is to try and counteract the problem of community interaction.

The rule with playing one song from the one artist is something that I also believe should be terminated. This will be discussed with management further.

Any DJ who doesn't want to be in the department (judged by attitude and effort put into shows) can leave. I can't be bothered dealing with people who can't be bothered, honestly. I want upbeat, dedicated DJs.

I do believe it requires a collective effort from both myself and the department, and it will take some time to uproot some of the crap that goes on. Those unwilling to help me make this effort one again, can go.

Thank you all so much for the feedback, I've saved quite a few of your answers so that I can come back to reflect on them as I build an actually decent department where there's bare space for derogatory comments.
