I'll pop the research question in a spoiler (so please don't read this unless you've done my IQ survey first (A))More to do with gender stereotypes and perceived iq I would say. Women are typically (seen as) less adept when it comes to things like iq tests. I wonder whether adding fields for profession would alter results at all. Did anybody rate their mother higher?

In the current assignment you will conduct a piece of research that examines estimations of IQ. Specifically, you are interested in examining whether males estimate their IQ to be higher/lower relative to females. Furthermore, you will be examining whether individuals estimate their father’s IQ as higher/lower relative to their mother’s IQ.
This study is based upon older work showing that males consistently rate their IQ to be higher than females and both sexes consistently estimate their father’s IQ to be greater than that of their mother’s IQ (Hogan, 1978; Higgins, 1987). You are examining whether these trends are still apparent in 2014.
Thanks Matt![]()
I rated my mum higher than my dad, but I put myself highest, so I guess that cancels that out.
If anyone else would like to do this, I'd really appreciate it![]()
