Literally everyone has an equal chance to go find & report bugs/issues though. You just have to wait before your chance comes around! I've done a lot of work going round reporting bugs so far on v7 so why wouldn't I get a reward

Literally everyone has an equal chance of winning tickets to the new Queen tour (theoretically, these tickets are being released next week). That chance is still EQUAL and OPEN TO EVERYONE, it's just not YET.

Thats completely different. Me giving myself an icon does not effect the outcome of hxss. You will get your chance, have some patience.

there is no end prize for icons though... it's not like OMG PERSON WITH THE MOST ICONS GETS 100C AT THE END OF THE MONTH
