I'm telling you now if I didn't talk for like 15 mins about habbox and the way it was run I wouldn't of got the job, they were impressed with my 'knowledge' but my god radio is SO different IRL, I spend 8 hours on a job recording and editing a 3 min segment!!

did you actually say Habbox or did you just say like an online radio?? I would actually consider talking about the articles department but i'm so scared someone's gonna be like "oh what's the site called" and i'm gonna have to say "oh a fansite for Habbo"

I said online radio then they asked what site for, and I couldn't exactly not tell them so I explained... and they loved it!

OMG IKR! I used to do some student radio stuff and it was so different (that wasnt to the level you're doing now either), but like it's such a good start and I can't even begin to describe how COOL IT IS HABBOX GIVES YOU THIS EXPERIENCE when it's just a fansite omg

i might have to write an article on this

I've said Habbox before. I think the reason it's so awkward with people your own age is because they may have played the game too and the fact you still do it is more relevant. People hiring you though often have never even *heard* of Habbo and they really don't care. I've mentioned Habbox by name in two interviews and "a website and forum for children and young adults based on a game" which I then may go into more detail with. I wouldn't be scared at all because I honestly don't think anyone else really gives a crap about it - even people your own age, I just find that i'm SO SCARED THEY FIND OUT and when they do it's like, meh, whatever

End of the day you have writing and managerial experience which both look really good on a CV so why be ashamed of where it's from?
