oh damn i got ur username wrong i swear i typed david i even checked the last activei'd like your post but..
unless people are particularly bold and don't care then like system would stop the +reps in that scenario, a dislike button would also work. not sure it would stop the comments though.
when reading jen's post i thought of everything you said.
might steal some thread ideas from /r/askreddit
but yes, like system UNITE
I'm less active because there's less to be active about - if there are only 3 or 4 posts a day worth replying to I'm not the sort to go spamming in threads where I have no interest in discussion, and that's why I'm not a fan of random question threads either. If there are 20 replies but it's all just half a line each, that's only an illusion of activity and not actually doing anyone any favours. What we really need is a lot more community cohesion... it's not as bad as it has been in the past but there is still a lot of staff clique feeling where there are staff members (sometimes even in senior/management positions) who make no effort whatsoever to interact with anyone other than their own staff team, and that's why we have more staff than members and yet still fairly crap staff workrates in some departments.
Also we've somehow stilllllllllllllll not managed however many years on to sort out the problem of splits between forum and site, where we still seem to be promoting separate accounts for articles commenting, and therefore in no way making efforts to bring the casual browsers of the site into our LOVING CARESS. What I have seen a couple of times (but sadly not often enough) is people making a genuine effort to chat to non-Habbox folk at events/HxHD and urge them to make threads and whatnot as opposed to a copy and pasted line shouting GO ON HABBOX.COM REFERRER ME DO IT FOR ME I'M THE IMPORTANT ONE HERE every couple of minutes
for me i just felt like i irritated everyone lmao
habboxlive was the thing which kept me here mainly because its something i really enjoyed and kept me talking to people, coming on, posting etc
hxl has died completely though and djing to 4 people isnt on my list of things to do lmao
if it was upped and everything like sure id love to come back n dj and whatev because i acc enjoyed it so it did keep me here
nothing seems to really happen anymore like i have no clue about any events or anything
because i was in an exam period i ended up getting really lazy with hxl and nothing was really done to stop me so in the end i drifted off and now im out from 10am - 9:30pm most days then come home n have a shower/bath n have dinner and b ythe time ive done everything i need to im like knackered and have nothing to make me acc want to come on here (sorry guys)
thats for me personally anyway
#1 and #2 for me here, I’ll use an example. Not too long ago I saw posts from individuals that were making digs and snide remarks at another member (these individuals who should know how to behave because of their position on the forum) about a situation that they had already moved past from. Does making someone feel upset again about a situation that they had moved past a while ago and not wanting to post around the forum that they love as much for the fear they’ll be attacked make Y’ALL feel that it is fun? When I say “y’all”, they know who I’m on about it and they need to cut this crap. It’s okay to have fun because I do understand that every single thing in this forum doesn’t revolve around professionalism and strictness 24/7, but it does tick me off when anyone is feeling uncomfortable and upset because of this type of bullying and nothing is done about it.
Oh and on another note it’s okay to have an argument or discussion when it is done in a reasonable manner – it should not have to involve name-calling and just pure rudeness. This is how things get out of hand and hectic like in Dan’s goodbye thread.
Some of the craziness on here is getting tiring to look at and the atmosphere is awful.
Edit: By the way if we are going to be having rules on this forum EVERYONE needs to follow them - nobody should have to get away with not following rules. If there is a rule that should or needs to be removed there is, again, a reasonable way of arguing for or against it.

A mixture of education, work and having better things to do. Forums do not appeal to me any more and I find the discussions to be really "urgh" or restrained. Reddit seems to catch my attention these days. It would be great if members didn't feel afraid to start threads on any topic much like reddit and to see what their opinions are and even see personalities develop. I feel the Spam forum is now the only real forum and I really do not like it as it diverts away from interesting discussion that counts or particularly appeals to me. It's boring seeing people discuss what they have been discussing on Skype or when they've met up with each other.
Then there's the recent developments which make me think I should use the forum less frequently until changes are made to people who run the entire community. I hadn't noticed how dodgy it was after returning for a bit (got gap of freedom until August). It's getting boring seeing people bully out established members because they refuse to accept they are wrong. It happened with Sammeth and MAD and now it's happening with Wispur. The community had improved under Matt but has since been in decline. It's bad enough the Forum Manager position seems to be defunct again, with an overbearing "MAD-esque" GM taking over making behind the door decisions in a Sammeth. way.

Staff really do not seem to mingle with everyone outside their groups. A forum is essentially a community where everyone just chats and then had a little role on the side. The number of cliques is astonishing and unnecessary. At least in the Seacat, Mizki, jrh2002 era everyone just seemed to click together and they made an effort not to mix with the same bunch.
The lack of posts is another thing. I find myself logging in - seeing no one has posted a reply or anything worthwhile - then disappearing to do other things.

whos up for protesting in front of matt garners house for breaking the rules1!!!!
I'm slowly growing out of habbo, I am on less and less. I'm growing up really. I've moved out of home and I work full time, so my whole time is just taken up on my work, house and girlfriend! it's a shame I've become less active and wonder if I'll ever get the time again before I go TOO old :-(
I agree with FJ though, other people are less active - so there's less posts and ultimately I post less.

I try my best to post here and then, but I work 6 days a week and I barely can even get time to myself from starting that job, but I will try to post the best I can.
