Installed on both my Windows computers. Attempting to do it through Windows Update was a complete waste of time, so I just suggest downloading the tool from the Microsoft website.

Yeah, I'm doing that way at the moment, is there a choice of a clean install or save my documents?

If you do a normal upgrade you have the option to keep all your files and applications. I mean you can do a clean install if you really want to I suppose, I haven't tried it.

I would give up if I were you. Unless you had the prompt saying that it's ready to download and install then it's unlikely to work. Go here and download what you need - microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10
