lol my mum showed me a page where I got 20p off a newspaper and I was like yeah mum its only 20p but she was making it sound like I was saving a fortune. I tend to avoid using them, not because it's embarrassing, more because I avoid buying anything worth saving money on.

yes the morrisons match & more card is AMAZING for saving money and giving u coupons

but they are changing it in 4 weeks time and rather than price matching other supermarkets instead u get 5 points for every pound u spend. so u have to spend £1000 to get £5 off which is so shit

and I use it for other stuff here and there if it's worth the effort

Oooh you sooo should use it more/check how much is on there, I had a woman come in last year and do all her christmas shopping, including gifts, came to like £350 - she paid for it all on her nectar card. It's definitely worth it

I don't tend to use coupons as I don't really shop much, but if I had them I would use them. I really love the show Extreme Couponing and they even did a Black Friday special episode which was interesting to show how much people can save depending where they shop and the time they do it.

The thing is Mike, a lot of people assume that because something can be purchased cheaper with a coupon then it's not worth buying at all, like you said pretty much. There are so many coupons out there that give you money off different things and it doesn't necessarily mean they're not worth the amount that you would usually pay because they are. For example, if you go on FreeStuffUK or something you are available to get freebies and vouchers off certain products - you can get yogurts for free for example, and they're good brands like Activia so does that mean they're literally not worth anything?

Coupons are available for high valued items too - like if you put a discount code in online that's similar to a coupon, more of an e-coupon, but just because something is available cheaper doesn't decrease the quality of the product! I understand that's the opinion you have though and I don't want it to sound like I'm calling you up on it, I'm just saying there are a lot of things that are available and not just the rubbish cheap brand stuff.

oh fk idk its like 1 point per £1, 500points for £2.50
wait when you put it like that it sounds like a scam but yeah christmas time last year when i was on checkouts everyone was paying for their shopping with their points, it was quite cool
plus if you shop in sainsburys you get like triple points vouchers and stuff so that makes it go up faster

I don't really find coupons for things I want. My parents use the petrol coupons from the shops every week but that's about it.
