    Default euromillions

was having this debate with @scottish; earlier and would like other peoples input. basically i was saying if anyone won the euromillions lets say 160million it would probably destroy their life. my reasoning was for one I don't even think anyone can comprehend that amount of money and you'd have to never want or work for anything again. I just don't know how I feel about it, obviously I wouldn't say no to somebody giving me that but would it really complete life? Probably not imo and wouldn't you get bored if you could have everything? idk what do you think, scott said he would still work full time but I dunno, as much as I love what I do I don't know if I could work full time, I'd probably start my own business and work for the nhs one day a month maybe lol.

excuse me i was involved in this

I said I'd probably put like 98% of it into savings and do some investments, then with the remainder that isn't stored away I'd live a pretty comfortable life with it, taking out chunks from savings to go on gr8 holidays once a year. I'd probably still work just so I wouldn't be bored mindless but I'd do a job that's easy and I enjoy so it's not a chore!
I don't think it'd ruin anyone's life tho unless they let it go to their head and didn't manage it

You would be living of £3.2m, don't think you wouls have to dip into your £156.8m savings for a holiday lol.

But yah I have thought about this before and I would LOVE to design, build and run my own golf course. The one I work at currently is so poorly run that I honestly think I could do a better job. I would have a hotel and spa there as well because I love programs like the Hotel Inspecter and think I would be good at that too.

I would like to keep busy with stuff like that which I actually enjoy doing. You would seriously get bored doing nothing for the rest of your life. I think it would be nice to improve my friends and families lives too.

depends what you choose to do

i wouldn't radically change my life other than i would travel a lot more. still wouldn't pay £50+ for a pair of shoes so in that way im grounded. also think you have to care about something other than fun in life to get satisfaction. me personally? i care a lot about urban planning/saving heritage so i'd put money and time into those causes

I don't think it would ruin my life, I'd invest the large portion of it and help family out if necessary.

Past that I'd live a bit better than I do now (big house, nice car, etc) but I'd still work full time.

I'd also invest a bit into my current work.

I don't think it would ruin it, will probably make it better though. I would probably keep the whole thing secret though in a way, the best I could.

I would tell the close family, parents etc. But not the wider family as you never know they may start demanding me to use my money to get them things. **** that.

Would I still work full time? Hard to say. I would like to stop working and then travel around the world though for sure. Then once back in the UK then maybe.
