Germaine Greer doesn't think than transwomen are women because she hate facts and enjoys hating anything to do with masculinity even if it's only historical - this is the woman who thinks women should "choose" to be lesbians for political reasons. Always hilarious when you suddenly side with someone horrific because they share one view with you, and crikey look at that you avoided the questions put to you again. I am in shock.

Why is it hilarious? I did point out that me and Greer and on opposite sides of the culture wars but that doesn't mean I have to dismiss everything she says or that she's therefore always wrong because she is not on my side of the ideological spectrum. I disagreed with Tony Benn on virtually everything he said, although he was right on the European Union. I am not close-minded in that i'll dismiss anyone and everyone who does not share 99.9% of my opinions. There's more to be gained intellectually than just listening to Peter Hitchens, Christopher Hitchens, Enoch Powell and Ron Paul.

The question is that absurd I am shocked you want an answer to it. But alright....

If people feeling uncomfortable and threatened is the problem with unisex toilets or whatever should gay men be forced to use women's toilets and lesbians to use the gent's?
No because the toilets say male & female on them and not gay and lesbian. Case dismissed.

Yeah and a person who's undergone surgery to become a male is male lol, just because you don't like it doesn't make it untrue. Also the question was in no way absurd, it's totally valid considering you and Landon have been trying to claim that discomfort is the reasoning behind your daft views, and then you enforced this by talking about how everyone is so totally terrified of tEh GaIz - even your final response (when you gave one) doesn't answer the question. You took an "if" question and basically said X can't be Y because Z isn't Q.

You need to decide on what your actual REASONING is for not wanting people who do have the same waste organs as you in the same toilet block as you...
Is it because you think anyone born male shouldn't be around infant females and vice cersa? If that's the case then the issue of homosexuals being forced into opposite gendered toilets is perfectly valid.
Is it because you just want to humiliate people who you don't like? If so then there's really no argument there.
Is it because you think how someone USED to physically be dictates their entire lives? If so you're very much advocating for feminine-presenting people in the gents and masculine-presenting people in the ladies even though they no longer have such equipment, kinda like telling a quadriplegic person to do some starjumps.
And of course if none of these is the case then segregating by sex or gender in toilets is just unnecessary anyway, cheers for agreeing

Well yes. Any change to a person changes who and what they are - get your foot cut off and you're an amputee, get lipo and you're thinner, get a UKIP membership and you're delusional, that sort of thing. Unless you have a different definition of biology

I actually do have a different definition of Biology. To me, if you have XY chromosomes, you're a male. If you have XX chromosomes, you're a female. It's simple to understand. You're not a female if someone cuts off your penis. You're not a male if a doctor builds skin onto a vagina.

That's nice as long as you're not bothered about scientific accuracy.

ok fair point about the tons of makeup but your idea that ALL TRANS PEOPLE can be noticed is absolute bs right

    true story time

I was at uni with a girl in my society and we were friends and went out on nights out and had drinks and socialised a fair bit... about 2 years into knowing her I find out she's trans and I was completely thrown, had literally no idea. I would post a pic to prove my point but obviously that's a huge invasion of privacy so no

but what about the other way round? trans men can't exactly hide it with makeup can they?

It seems that you are the one that is actually bothered with scientific accuracy. Why? You can't accept the biology. You can't accept the fact that men have XY and women have XX. If your penis isn't there either because of surgery or an accident, you're still XY. No question about it. And it won't change.
