I know your just guessing there but it meant something to see someone acknowledge me I feel more moderators need acknowledgement, because people just don't understand how much work every one of us puts into the job. If only they could see the moderator reports they would realise :p

It tends to be my headache, yesterday I was exhausted. I am quite good at choosing managers, I've only ever regretted one manager decision, and I reversed that when I realised I got it wrong. I think I've made the right decision by making MAD Forum Manager. Ostinato also deserved to be Forum Manager, but MAD just cut it more.

As for Super Moderators, I think that will be solved over time.

This is getting stupid guys. We cant change Habbox's Opion on wheather (Sp?) they chose the right person. We all made the decision to join THEIR forum meaning THEY can employ who THEY want.

try reading the whole thread, jesus man. i've said plenty of times; this won't change anything, but it's a lot better for things to get said rather than not. people need to express their opinion and speak their mind.

I agree with lethal, I think threads like this are neccesary sometimes.

A lot you do not realise how much work some staff do behind the scenes, you may not of saw MAD hiring the forum moderators and doing all the things you expect from a forum manager but i have known him to be a hard worker and he probably did a lot of behind the scene stuff, plus when i worked here i knew forum staff would have to do one hell of a lot of work to keep this place running, you may not see what they do but they do alot! It use to take hours sometimes doing work each night and that would be a few of us spending hours working on here not just one admin, it would be the whole team and none of you probably even would of noticed, and i am sure that is probably the same with these admins.

Some of you need to give them a lot more repect than you do, as sometimes i think they are to soft on some of you and should ban your butt (nearly forgot i cant swear)!

And it really is not nice when you make posts saying "blah blah shouldn't be admin/super mod"...especially if they were just hired, this simply will wind up the staff, you should just PM 8freak8 or someone with your views in a polite way, if a few of you do it then i am sure it will be noted and something will be done if not straight away then maybe in the future.

threads like this are important for getting our (the members) view of things across. sure things wont always be changed but its good to let the managers know, then if it does go wrong we can feel better seeing it go wrong when we warned them.

i personally felt that Ostinato should have got the promotion rather than MAD, even though he is fantastic at his job it just doesnt seem fair.

i cant comment to much on micky as i havent seen him moderating, but im sure he deserves it.

being a super moderator is a lot of work and forum management have high expectations of you, when i was a super moderator there was a lot to do, you had to be on top form, if they didnt feel you met the bill then you were removed. simple as, lots of super moderators tend to resign over time as they feel its too much. dont really blame them.

i think that nvrspk is also rejected a bit, i know he wants to be forum manager but he just cant seem to get offered it.

1. i've already taken back some of what i said about mad.
2. you can swear, just not avoid the filter...
3. i'd see that as rather two faced, why not let them know? then others can say their opinions, members opinions should be valued a lot more than what they are.

I see things you don't, like the work he puts in, the willingness to change the way he is working (something I sure as hell can't do), the amount of work he does.

I know for a fact, he lives +1 hour from UK time, when we're finishing school, he is likely to be on here and helping out with moderating.
I know for a fact, he's defiantly 1 of the longest moderators we've had, not in this current spell, no; but he has worked as a moderator before.
And he is also very level-headed, which (i'm not saying anyone else isn't, but since he's the topic, i'm referring to him), is quite essential for this role.

and the only reason i'm going to mention M.B.E, is because noone else has really stood up for him.

but when :Jamie was a super mod before you all complained because you thought he shouldn't of got the job. Now you're saying that he should be one.

To all the people who say I'm never on line:
I am. I sometimes use the invisible mode but I can't anymore as I'm a super mod now. I haven't been on line much last week because my internet was down for 4 days, if you are judging my activeness on the previous week you obviously don't know what you're talking about.
If you judge my activeness on the amount of posts I make then you might think I'm not on line very much, but modding has nothing to do with the amount of posts a moderator makes, I was often busy taking care of things, but I did post a lot in the graphics forums, I've helped a lot of people with their alts, but there are many threads with alts that don't need help or the help is already given by other people, so there is no point in posting the same tips twice.

To all the people who say lots of my infractions get reversed:
Yes, when I first started as a mod I was a little too harsh and quite a lot of infractions got reversed, but for the last 6-7 weeks (no idea how long) almost none (if any at all) got reversed, why? Because I learned to give infractions in a better way. So you can't say most of infraction are reversed because I also check the "report infractions thread" and I don't see many infractions of mine being reported, and if they are they're not reversed.

To all the people who say the infractions I give are rubbish:
Most people who said this are the people who are angry because I gave them an infraction and it didn't get reversed.

Most people don't even know my and the work I do so I don't get why they've posted in this thread.
I work hard and put a lot of effort in moderating, some people might not see this, but that's not my problem, the managers did, hence why they've chosen me to become a super mod.
The runescape section how ever does suport me and they think I'm a great mod, you might think they say that because I play runescape too and they like me, but even the respected people (no offence to the other runescape players :p) think I'm a good mod and they stuck up for me when I got fired the first time I was a mod.

And MAD does deserve to be the manager, you've no idea how much work he does behind the scenes.
