I'd recommend doing some cardio for a few months before beginning to lift weights. Or do your cardio after you do your weights. Why is this? This is because when you consume calories, these will give you energy to exercise. If you use all of them calories up by doing cardio before weights, you'll have no energy to lift weights and thus won't have a good workout.
Eat a meal before you workout to give you some energy. Remember to breath properly too then lol!
