What you said pretty much sums it up, that was bloody awful lol.

Also, i swear when hes like "My name is Aang" and says it as "Arng", you just hear some guy in the background going "Ang", as in correcting him....

I dunno, that was bad though.

Haha, yeah there is someone in the audience who corrects the movie by saying Aang how it should be pronounced. What a legend. Be thankful they didn't say Sokka's name in the clip. I cringe every time I hear it. Mind you I cringed every five seconds during that clip.

People on IMDb have just been slating the movie since its release. Their comments are so funny. One guy said the movie just kept reminding him he had better things to do.

There is no way I am wasting my money watching this at the cinema.

i couldn't finish watching it.. it was too bad. But i did laugh pretty hard at the overdramatic "earthbending" that produced one small rock that lazily floated to the firebenders. This is so disappointing.
Also, the fighting styles are all wrong. Aang was the most active character, especially when fighting. from what I see in this clip, he barely moves.

Yeah, that part was hilarious. It takes ten seconds for them to summon that small rock and then in the end it only takes out one firebender. If the firebenders were any good they could have killed them all in that time. M. Night promised a dark film, but really he just made a comedy. I agree with you about the fighting styles too. I don't know why so much has been changed, because all the groundwork to make a good movie was there. Another thing that made me laugh in the clip was when that one firebender sent a line of fire towards the earthbenders, then a wall of dirt springs up from the ground. Was that scene in slow motion or what? Bending was never so slow in the series, especially firebending which was always ferocious and violent. There is some good news though, the second film may very well never be made at this rate.

I just finished watching. It is quite possibly the worst film I have ever seen. I have so many complaints... firstly everything is forced on to the audience, like we can't work out anything ourself and the performances are incredibly dry. The dialogue is painful and there really isn't that much bending. All of the suspense has been ruined and Zhao mentions that he raided the great library thirty minutes into the film. That wasn't revealed until half way through the seconds season! All of the surprises and plot twists are gone, the Firelord has an abundance of scenes and Azula also has some screen time. They've given everything away already. If they make a sequel that'll be even more dire than the first film.

There are no scenes in the film of Aang learning water bending at all, just a few clips of him actually bending the water every now and then. Katara doesn't act as his mentor and Master Paku has near to none screen time. Aang becomes a master of water yet the audience don't see him learning the element at all. M. Night failed so much.

The film was also very rushed and it isn't even 100 minutes long. They're adapting something which is nearly 8 hours in length, you simply can not make a 90 minute film and get away with it. So much important material was left our and because everything else was rushed some scenes were incredibly forced and very hard to watch.

Zhao also suspects Zuko of being the Blue Spirit straight after he rescues Aang, why he would suspect Zuko only God knows. The scene of him blowing up Zuko's ship was so rushed and so sudden I actually missed it. Oh and when Zuko captures Aang he goes and hides in one of the rooms in a Northern Water Tribe building. How the hell does he expect to escape by sitting in a room talking to an unconscious Aang about things no one cares about while the water benders and fire benders are fighting just outside the window. It also make no sense how Zuko is able to melt the ice with his hands if fire benders now need a source. I don't know if M. Night could even make up a crap excuse for that one.

Aang has a normal fight with Zuko. Sorry, isn't this supposed to be a movie where people can bend the elements? There really isn't much bending going on. Also, the monks were peace loving people who would never fight with their bending let alone with their hands. So how does Aang know how to fight so well?

There is hardly any development for any of the characters in the film, Yui's death isn't even addressed after it happens, the bending movements are all wrong, Appa and Momo are barely in the film, the bending effects were actually very crap, the Kyoshi Warriors aren't in the film and the spirit world is an absolute disappointment. We don't even see any of it. When Aang goes into the spirit world he just speaks with a dragon, there is no Roku, no Hei Bai, no Koh, no nothing. The dragon wasn't even in the series. What the hell, M. Night?

This movie is an insult to the series.

    No, see my post above.

"There is no way I am wasting my money watching this at the cinema."

Besides, it isn't even out in the UK for another month. I watched it online.

Nemo, that Earthbending scene was hilarious! When the little rock comes up after all of the Earthbenders do that drawn out move, the audience just burst out laughing. It's pathetic!

I still can't believe I wasted sleep by going to the midnight showing of that movie.
