I've got Windows 8 now and it is confusing at first but it's not bad when you start to get use to it. Does anyone know if you can change notification sounds?
How did you get all the headings like Adobe and stuff!?
Im liking 8 so far, dont see why everyone moans about the metro interface when there's really no need to see it that often!
1. Go to the start screen and then look at the bottom right hand corner and you will see this:
2. Click the - and the screen of apps will zoom out. You then need to right click one of the group of apps and then you should see this happen:
3. Then click "Name group".
Thankyou! Gonna go mad now making loads of groups hahaha!
I gotta say ive not had it long and i absolutely love it, thought it would be quite tedious but its actually really easy to use, only little nigwig is when closing apps having to drag RIGHT to the bottom, and not like being able to throw them, but its great so far!
We on about closing the start screen apps yeah? Have you tried doing it the other way? Go to the top left of your monitor screen then a preview should show --> Move your mouse down and then you will see a list of open start screen apps.Thankyou! Gonna go mad now making loads of groups hahaha!

Then you just right click on the ones you want to close then click close app. I would take a screenshot but it disappears when you hit the screenshot button![]()
@GommeInc;
I went into a Currys Digital or whatever they are called to see what computers they have on sale. All of them that was on view was running the Windows 8 operating system. They also have a big screen at the window which you could touch from the outside as well.
It is only used for storing raw dxtory/fraps footage until it is encoded into a more sensible storage format so I've only lost about 30mins or so of gameplay footage I recorded a while ago. Still seems quite a serious problem that a installation to a completely unrelated drive would screw up the raid array. Can't even actually get the intel software that you can use to manage the array to run in Windows 8 yet.
