I started this thread because there was dispute about PSP and DS being the best handheld.

I'm posting my views since i have been away for a while.
Noob means Newbie which means your new to what this is. Basically, not im not. I know what a DS is, I know what a Forum is etc etc.

No, hotspots are when there are hotspots in your house or work place for wireless internet. Not 'Mobile telephone poles'. The PSP has built in wireless internet.
To get to the standard of the PSP, your going to pay the same price, maybe even more on buying accesories for it to match the specs of the PSP.
In a previous post of mine, I declared that I agreed with some of your points and said get on with the discussion. Ozzie obviously prooves himself to be the true NOOB and carries on calling people Noobs and acting immature.

Both the PSP and DS have built in Wi-Fi capabilities, which means they'll both need hotspots set up to be used. The only online-based advantage the PSP has is having an internet browser, though considering you'll need to be near a hotspot, you'll probably be near a computer with broadband anyway, so that's more of a novelty than a useful function.

At the end of the day, what it all comes down to is games. You can argue until the cows come about how amazing Ridge Racer is and how engaging Lumines is, but in my opinion I've had more fun (because remember, that's what gaming is about: fun) out of my DS playing Super Mario 64 and Wario Ware Touched!.

However, it doesn't mean I'll abandon my PSP in a hurry. I thoroughly enjoy a game of Virtua Tennis, or a ***** at beating my high score on Lumines (though Tony Hawks leaves a lot to be desired), and I'm very much looking forward to future releases.

If GTA: LCS has a decent soundtrack I won't mind. It was the god-awful one on San Andreas that turned me off of that.

What I'm most looking forward to though is SSX: On Tour. Squeeeeeee!

And you do have to buy an accesory for ds to watch movies but its (£15) and then buy flash cards way cheaper than psp umds. And xboxs dvd u need an add on for and no 1 ever said xbox couldnt play dvds. I could say the same about psps u have 2 buy add ons the umd films. Buy 3 umd films and i could buy the player and 3 films on ds so u r the N00B

ahem... UMD's cost £10, and you dont need to buy UMD's you go onto sites and they give you all the movies and you just upload them onto your memory card...
i found the specs for the ds off the nintendo site and they said the ds hasnt got wireless internet.. it has the software built in capable of wireless internet but it doesnt have wireless internet, the wirless software is used for playing against other people.

xEnigma there's a difference between having wireless internet and having a wireless internet browser. Playing online games with the DS still requires an internet connection, whether you can browse websites or not using the hardware.
