Surely if it's the same Xbox Live that means I'll be able to?
I highly doubt the gaming will be cross-platform, as it would stop groups of friends all buying the platform (why bother, of you can still all play each other even if only one person upgrades?) The logistics of it would be poor imo

Not sure if anyone has mentioned this prior, I haven't read through the 19 pages of comments. Do Sony not have a patent for "One" considering Playstation One?

Wasn't Sony's name for the first playstation, just "PlayStation" and then they went to "PlayStation 2" etc.

That's a good point, yeah. I always called it a "Playstation One" or "PS1" but I guess the official name may just be "Playstation".

Edit: No, there was definitely a PSone! You had your original box Playstation and then this:

    ..and then Playstation 2!

I agree entirely however it shouldn't be mandatory at all. Some people don't want to use their console online and should have every right to exercise their freedom not to don't you agree? I'm playing devil's advocate but to me being online should still be mandatory. Is it something like 3.5m people are still on 56k connections in the UK? So imagine how many are on really poor broadband and then how many of them have games consoles. I understand that the internet is still the future and it's good for me, for you, but not for everybody.

Microsoft's stock is worth more because they haven't been struggling over the past couple of years like Sony has, however, Microsoft's stock closed DOWN on the day whereas Sony's stock closed WAY UP. Same story today.

After everything I have said it's still a great piece of kit, there's just too many cons at the moment. Like I said numerous times, they have E3 to convince me they care about gamers.

There's already a mock video, and it's really good, again, I don't know if it has been posted previously because I'm far too lazy to check/care:

@Adam; surely if you liked the XBOX360 you'll enjoy XBOX ONE? They wont go backwards in terms of gaming for obvious reasons.

The whole name is trademarked, not just "One" (lol how silly would that be).

Good team work dbgtz, let's sit back and watch the ensuing chaos.
