Id pick up the guitar and pluck random strings
put it down and forget about it.
If you want to start I reckon you should start
on Accoustic. Just to get used to it.

I used to play the cello, about 2 years ago. ahaha. ^_^

I got this urge when I was 16... so I saved $180, went to a pawn shop and bought a guitar and amp for $179 (never tell the owner how much you have cause they'll work the tax out to where you're spending everything ) and then sat down for 6 months and played around with random riffs that I'd think of. I didn't learn how to play guitar proper til a friend printed me out tabs to every Nirvana song and at the time neither of us understood them, but then I figured it out and heh, taught myself how to play.

Start with basic songs then work yourself up. I started with Nirvana, then uhm... just skipped everything else and started on my own stuff.
