    Default Guitar helppp.

Hm, I have this crazy idea in my head right now to teach myself how to play the Electric guitar.
Ahaha, I know. I get these sudden urges sometimes.
Well I've decided I might aswell research this sudden urge

So if anyone can help me.. like what equipment I would need and stuff, and if theres anyone who has any tips or something.

If electric is too hard, I'll probably do Acoustic.
I don't know ahah, I just wanna learn guitar some how.
    So uhm.. anybody, ahahha.

Well for to play any type of guitar u need a guitar lol i can reccomend you a few sites such as
    www.bandland.co.uk
    www.soundcontrol.co.uk
    www.guitampkeyboard.com
    www.reidys.com
all of these sites i have bought from like today i bought this bass and amp

I would surrgest you start off with a eletric guitar, argos have them but they may not be good as the sites i surrgested above or if u go into your local town there maybe a shop there. some good guitar makes are peavey, fender, Squier,Yamaha,Gibson and good amps are really marshall

Its actually good to start off with an accoustic, to build finger strength and then go to electric, but It isnt quite worth buying both, so just get an electric. Or an electric acoustic When teaching yourself, you should actually have a source to learn from. Like cords ect. So buy a beginner's book, work your way up. It may seem stupid and boring, but once you are done, you will be able to learn anything given to you.

Right Ben is here for you!
I play bass but theres only 2 strings difference.
First of all you want a guitar that comes with an amp and tuner.
I got my bass for £132 with amp/tuner/dvd/manuals and plecs from eBay.
    Heres a link on eBay:

I would suggest getting an Encore as it is cheap and if it is just an "urge" you won't regret wasting the money.
    Encore:
If you turn out to be serious then you could upgrade to:
    Epiphone
    Gibson
    Fender
[fill this space with amazing guitar makes]

And if you do get a guitar here is an amazing tab website that has done me wonders:

    www.mxtabs.net

The forum on there is amazing, they help you loads:
    http://www.musicianforums.com/forums...php?styleid=18

And practise alot is the main thing. Also try not to break a string! They are annoying to fix and can cost abit, especially if you guitar is expensive.
    A few guitar related sites:

    http://www.fender.com/home.php
