Its not if its right or wrong, its a matter of opinion. When your younger its normally best to date people withing the same soert of age region as you, as sometimes if can cause problems for others. But as you get older, you tend not to worry about age.

My step mum and my dad have 11 years age difference. My dads 39 and my step mum is 28.

Age is just a number at the end of the day. It shouldn't matter if the couple are in love.

If one of the people involved is too young to understand what they're doing then it's wrong, other than that I'll agree.

Nah, as long as it makes you happy and both of you are comfortable with it - then who cares what other people think? :]

    Not when your older..
20 and 25 doesn't seem that bad, does it?
    20 and 28 doesn't seem bad either.

It depends how old you are. I mean, if you're 9, and your boyfriend is 15, that sounds really weird, but if you're 40 and your boyfriend is 46 then it doesnt. Normally you have more in common with people you're the same age as, as you remember the same stuff from when you were younger.

I think even with teens/twenties a large age gap makes quite a difference. I know a girl who's 16 and has a 24 year-old boyfriend, they're happy together and all that jazz but understandably her mum isn't too pleased (her mum's boyfriend is only a few years older than hers!) yet a gap of 8 years would mean nothing later in life.
