Default Dating people younger/older than you...

What do you guys think of dating people younger/older than you?

I'm personally in a long term relationship with a girl one year younger than me. For some reason I sorta think it's fine for girls to date older guys, but I think it would be weird for a girl to date younger guys...? lol

I think an age difference of 1-3 is fine. But usually the guy has to be the older one

Yer same. I think like, 1, 2, or 3 year differences are okay for younger people (for example a 16 year old dating an 18 year old) but like Harrison said, 5+ year differences are wrong.

Lol yeh I agree. Like a couple of years isn't really bad, but I can't say I've ever really known a girl to date a younger guy... mainly the other way about :S

I have an aunt, she's older than her husband by a year. 1-3 age differences are fine.

Older people is fine. My mums 40 and my step-dads 30.

But 1-3 is good for younger people.

Yehh I think when your older [In 20's+] it's not as such a big deal.

Like if a 30 year old woman married a 36 year old man, it would be fine... but if a 13 year old girl was in a relationship with a 19 year old boy... it'd be completely different! ;p

The last person i dated was younger by two years.
I thought it was alright, but i was a bit embaressed at times when people asked how old he was and stuff, because some people thinks its strange.
The older guys i have dated have only been older by a few months.

When you get older, age gaps don't matter so much. A gap of 8 years in a couple aged 42 and 50 isn't uncommon, but a 12 year old and someone who's 20 would be seen as wrong, because of the maturity and development stages of each person.
